Maybe cause he's a back up for the injured starting LG, Josh Sitton, who was lost for the season after game 1...
No point complaining that a backup didn't play like a starter.
Same with the Center for 3 qtrs of this game, Swanson. He was a street FA a few weeks ago. With Brendel on IR, we had to no choice but to play him.

Very simple. We signed Josh Sitton, Sitton has a history of getting injured, Sitton got injured and went to IR, Sitton no longer plays and so we had to put someone in as a starter at LG.
Meanwhile, most on here are singing Grier's praises but everyone ignores the fact that the Dolphins have yet to draft a single offensive lineman than can play in the NFL outside of the 1st round. There's not a single starter on this offensive line that either wasn't a free agent or drafted in the 1st round. As a result, we have no depth and our only young up-and-coming players on the O-line are 1st rounders.
And our two 1st rounders aren’t exactly world beaters either.
First, this is the same offensive lineman that was wining that he did not start the season over Davis, so he absolutely deserves no quarter for his winey @#$*$ attitude. Second, watch the tape during the next couple of days. We are not taking about performing like a starter. We are talking about a horrendous performance. There was one point during the third quarter where I was going to give him props for switch on a stunt, but he got driven back when he was in position at a rapid pace. He lost his balance and completely lost contact with the defensive lineman. He ended up two yards from sack because he could not keep his feet moving. It was comical. Just awful.

It’s always the offensive line on here. Nothing else is ever wrong with the offense except the offensive line. If you can’t beat man to man coverage playing defense is easy. Stop the run and make the WR’s and QB beat you, they couldn’t. Ryan had plenty of time early on in the game. We couldn’t find and open pass catcher. I’ll fault the line for the lack of running game but not the lack of passing game.

The offensive line has never been fully addressed or fixed, so that’s why it is always the problem. WR’s not getting open I put on Gase.
