Ted Ginn Jr and Troy Smith
Well I as well was dissappointed we did not take Brady Quinn with the ninth pick but as I digest the draft I came to this conclusion..First and I have always said we wont know how good a draft this was until 3 years from now but that being said lets look at a couple of facts...First last year in the championship game Ohio St and Florida Ginn returns a kickoff for a TD not against some small school against Florida who has much speed as any team in the nation, I think we can all agree on that.. When he gets injured on the celebration the game totally changed for Gonzalez and most of all Troy Smith..Think about it when Ginn got injured Troy Smith lost out on a couple of million dollors because you could of made a case that had Troy Smith threw for 300 yards 3 tds and led Ohio St to a victory he might have moved up in the draft.. Gonzalez benefitted most from Ginn who would draw double teams leaving Gonzalez one on one with a defender.. Ginn is fast and exciting and I pray that he suceeds in the NFL. They say he wont get off the line of scrimmage but how has Santana Moss who is slower and smaller than Ginn dne in the league!! Granted Moss is fast but not as fast as Ginn.. Cameron and the offensive coaches have to teach Ginn to be a Wide receiver and if that happens baring injury Ginn could have a productive career..Ginn is a player that if you just send him on a fly pattern he could open up the rest of the field for his teamates. I have faith in Mueller and Cam that they did their homework and I certainly dont listen to the experts who are usually wrong with their projections..Fans, support the front office until they give us reason not to then we ask for change, I for one hope to see Ginn on the field and hope for the best..Go dolphins!!
