Peyton hits the market Miami fans are screwed.

We will go all in for him, we won't draft a QB, we will use Moore as our back up, clamor what an upgrade manning is which he obviously is, but do what we did with Penny, We know he is 1 injury away from a season out but still put all of our eggs in one basket, being it manning.

I HOPE he resigns with Indy, because i know this team won't go after a QB if manning is on the market, even in the draft. They won't "groom" anyone they are too stupid for that as evident by ****lands interest in every 6'6" Linemen over anything else.

how is this not the case with every other QB (or player for that matter) in the entire league? people get injured, and other than his neck recently manning is the most durable QB in the league. So if he's cleared to play and the nerve is fully regenerated then you get him. We could trade up for RGIII and he could blow his knee the first play. You can't run an orginazation with your mentality about player injury.

As I said in another thread, we are legit Super Bowl contenders with Manning. I'm all for building for the future, but being a Super Bowl contender for the next 3 years seems pretty good to me. It's not like we're not allowed to draft a QB if we sign Manning.

TBH, I want Manning if he's cleared because worst case scenario, we've got Moore starting which IMO isnt that raw of a deal... Moore has not proven he is a franchise QB by any means, but neither did Flynn or RG3. Wether they opt to go with Flynn, Manning or RG3, the worst case scenario remains Moore. So on to the upside...

Manning = top 5 QB all-time (arguably)
Flynn = Who knows? but are you willing to bet he tops Manning?
RG3 = Again nobody knows!

If he's healthy...he not only brings a QB he brings an OC. WOW

If Manning is healthy, it is a no-brainer

I agree OP - I don't understand why people want Manning. He is a stop gap - albeit maybe the greatest stop gap ever.

We haven't been a consistent winner in a decade or so...you can't plug a guy in to win for just a year or two. We need a long term viable stud QB.

If I am an NFL LB and I play the Dolphins with Manning, I'm looking to bust into this guys back on every play. The guy can't run and our current O-line as-is sucks. Manning would get killed and be done in 5 games down here. Leave the guy alone - enough with the Manning nonsense.

Is Philban ok with getting Manning? I really dont think Miami wants him...I think Flynn is the guy they want...It really makes the most sense...Not saying Flynn is better than Manning but he has alot more time in front of him....Manning is an old man and would cost us the farm money wise...

I could easilyyyyy see us drafting Tannehill if we sign Manning. With Mike Sherman's connection to Philbin, I am sure there will be tons of converstaions about Tannehill between the two. In addition if Sherman lands here as OC, then I think its a no brainer that we probably draft him to "groom". That would be ideal. Have P. Manning for 2/3 years then Tannehill takes over.

I would never bet against Peyton, I honestly believe that he puts together 2 more dominant years somewhere before he falls apart.

FA - Manning and Meachem

Draft - trade down
Rd. 1 - Mercilus or Nick Perry (best pass rusher available)
Rd. 2a - Weeden
Rd. 2b - Dwayne Allen or Orson Charles (best pass catching TE available)

Give me that off season with a cheaper OL somewhere and I have a hard on all Summer.
