Telling you right now, if...

Everyone is forgetting a huge variable in this whole Manning thing, everyone just assumes that because we may be willing to throw a butt load of money at the guy he will come here. You have to remember the only way he comes here is if he is released (because we sure as hell are not trading for him) and if he is released he gets to choose where he goes, and a guy like Manning at this point in his career isn't looking for money (he has plenty) he wants the best chance to get another ring. Miami right now isn't exactly a place where guys that want to win one now are looking to come.

I honestly think its more like he goes to a team like the Ravens or 49ers or maybe even the Jets. These are teams that have the potential to win now and player like Manning puts them over the top. The 49ers were a strong team and even though Smith has his best year as a Pro, he still isn't even close to an elite player and a guy like Manning could do wonders for an anemic offense like there's. The Ravens are another team that is right there but Flacco can be very inconsistent, Manning would definitely put them over the top, and even the Jets they went to back to back Championship games, and even though they have a tough year this year its was mostly caused by Sanchez not getting it done. Manning with guys like Holmes, Keller and Plax can definitely be contenders .

Even if we land Manning, why couldn't we still draft a QB in round 2 or 3 to groom?

Because what has Ireland done that shows you he is farsighted ?

That idiot won't waste a pick on that when we have O line holes all over because he will feel like we have a franchise QB for 3 years, we can draft one in the future right now fix what is around him. Just how they thought with pennington.

He's not going to NY and stealing Eli's thunder, and there's no possible way that the Ravens cut ties with Flacco. If they do we should be all over him.

I could easilyyyyy see us drafting Tannehill if we sign Manning. With Mike Sherman's connection to Philbin, I am sure there will be tons of converstaions about Tannehill between the two. In addition if Sherman lands here as OC, then I think its a no brainer that we probably draft him to "groom". That would be ideal. Have P. Manning for 2/3 years then Tannehill takes over.

You have seen Ireland and his dumb *** for 4 years now...let me play this scenario for you.

Dolphins sign Manning for 3 years, everyone is going crazy !
Now we need a DE and a Tackle/OG, at #9 Miami is on the clock and he sees Tannehill, knowing he won't produce for about 3 years because of Manning, sees Coples, a relentless big dude that is great in the "trenches" starring at you dead in the eye, you think the card will read Tanny boy? After 4 years, you are confident in this douchebag doing the right thing?

COnsidering we needed RB help, he traded back and drafted Odrick over Williams who is a stud.

WHEN has he EVER taken a sexy pick of a productive pick?

He definitely isn't going to Baltimore, or the Jets.

100% 9ers a possibility.

Honestly.. Manning sounds so nice.. But I would rather have RG3 or take a chance on Flynn.. This team needs take a chance on a first round Qb or sign Flynn( He's been in the system for 4 yrs people and even if its only limited time still played a hell of a lot better then anyone we have had around here in a long time ).. Like I said Manning would be nice but I would rather have young promising talent to build on for the future..

Peyton hits the market Miami fans are screwed.

We will go all in for him, we won't draft a QB, we will use Moore as our back up, clamor what an upgrade manning is which he obviously is, but do what we did with Penny, We know he is 1 injury away from a season out but still put all of our eggs in one basket, being it manning.

I HOPE he resigns with Indy, because i know this team won't go after a QB if manning is on the market, even in the draft. They won't "groom" anyone they are too stupid for that as evident by ****lands interest in every 6'6" Linemen over anything else.
You know what man I remember when we had to pick daunte or brees. People were saying he was done. That his shoulder was shot we picked daunte and the rest is history. I know Bree's was a lot younger then manning if we get manning and we are winning nobody is going to care about this conversation

exactly if manning is healthy( again if) and if the colts release him. we would be stupid not to bring manning to the dolphins( imo) it's peyton freaking manning! people
i know now all the medical experts on this board will say he's done and one hit and his career is over. that can be said for every player in the league.
also sterling sharpe was just on nfl network and said " the surgeries manning has had were intended to help extend his playing career. so until manning comes out and says he is retiring, or is staying with the colts.
i will be excited in the fact that the dolphins may end up with peyton manning.

Here is why you are completely wrong:

1. Peyton Manning's 2012 bonus is due March 3, 2012.

2. The draft doesn't occur for almost two more months, April 26, 2012.

Manning's situation will be settled long before that.

dude, you were a long time Beck supporter. difficult to take your opinion on our qb situation seriously.

how is this not the case with every other QB (or player for that matter) in the entire league? people get injured, and other than his neck recently manning is the most durable QB in the league. So if he's cleared to play and the nerve is fully regenerated then you get him. We could trade up for RGIII and he could blow his knee the first play. You can't run an orginazation with your mentality about player injury.

While that is true, neck injuries are way more serious than a typical injury. Sure, if he's fully healthy (unlikely) who wouldn't want him? But I really fear that we're gonna get Trent Green'd. And did you honestly just suggest that the nerves in his cervical spine are going to regrow? Lol k

I was a who supporter? loll what are you saying?

and Don't compare a 28 yr old or 27 yr old Brees to manning at 36 loll

Manning wont play if he is not healthy. Its that simple. If the doctors tell him he is risking his life, he wont play. He will retire. No one wants to talk about this cus this story wants to be played out day after day after day until D Day arrives.

Cleveland sits in the drivers seat for RG3. No ifs ands or buts. Now if Cleveland goes after Flynn, then its a whole new ballgame. Thats why its so cool that FA comes way before the draft. We will see what teams really are after.
