Ten lingering questions the Miami Dolphins must answer

he only played in 12 games this year so that slightly skews that data. and if you don't think greg jennings is a traditional #1 receiver in this league you're crazy

12 game or 16, Garrad still threw 18 touchdowns passes with only three interceptions.

If Jennings was the traditional #1 for Green Bay last season, he would have led the team in receptions (which he did not), receiving yards (which he did not) and receiving touchdowns (which he did not).

You do know Jennings is a legit #1 Wr right... It's funny how people on this board think Jennings is not a #1 Wr -__- Hmm Thinking of a game where the packers lost their first game of the season against the chiefs and they couldn't score.. O yeah Jennings was not playing.

Thinking of a game that the Packers lost because they could'nt score and coincidentally were eliminated from the Playoffs... O yeah Jennings was playing. You see how this works either way don't you.

10. Can Joe Philbin, who is a first-time head coach on any level, command the locker room?

Like most of these questions we really won't know the answer until the season starts, I was very skeptical at first, but the more I hear him speak the better I feel about him

9. How will the switch from a base 3-4 defense to a base 4-3 scheme impact the defensive front?
I don't think we're going to be a base 4-3 I believe the media and speculators are jumping the gun. We will play much like we did last season, leaning toward more 4 man fronts.

8. Can the Dolphins defend tight ends?
Lets hope so, we'll find out, what I will say is that with a 4 man front, the LBs shouldn't have as much gap responsibility in the run game and may get on their assignments quicker with less reads

7. Can the Dolphins improve on special teams?
Of course they CAN, silly question. Rookie Budu and Lamar Miller are two additions I'm excited about.
6. Who will occupy the two starting safety spots?
My guess, Jimmy Wilson and Reshad Jones. SS seems like a better spot for Jones, and I think Wilson is just a natural playmaker and will thrive at FS

5. Where will leadership come from on this team?
I'd imagine Dansby, Long, Bush, Moore or Garrard.

4. Do the Dolphins have personnel to make the west coast offense work?
Let's hope so, we have a backfield for it, our receiving corps leaves something to be desired although I'm hopeful considering Philbins approach to spreading the ball and the depth we're bringing into training camp, that we can be more than serviceable at the spot. The key though is going to be the QB. I really think Garrard will win the spot and am hopeful about him, as his playing style fits the offense.

3. Did Miami find Cameron Wake a complimentary pass rusher on the opposite side?
Who knows, but between Odrick, Vernon, and Westerman someone may step up. Time will tell.

2. Have the Dolphins fixed the troublesome right side of its offensive line?
I would think so. Martin alone is such an upgrade over Columbo, we'll see.

1. Who will start the season at quarterback?
My guess is Garrard, although Moore wouldn't surprise me if he comes in more confident from how he played last year. The only thing I would be surprised with is Tannehill starting. To the people saying Tanny should start because he's a top 10 pick, I'd argue the kid doesn't have the experience at QB yet to start in the NFL, and that we are a playoff team with Garrard or Moore.
