Thought that everyone wondering about Mueller!! Hopefully this means that Mueller stays here inMiami and does right by us

According to a league source, the front-runner after the interview process thus far is Seattle Seahawks vice president/football administration Mike Reinfeldt. There appears to be a scenario where the Titans could offer the position to Reinfeldt this week. However, that certainly does not mean it is a done deal with Reinfeldt. If the Titans offer him the position, Reinfeldt would have to decide whether or not to accept the job and uproot his family to come to Nashville. The Titans would also have to negotiate a satisfactory compensation package for Reinfeldt as well to entice him to leave Seattle and return to the organization where he spent his NFL career.

I say we see the off-season first before any contracts our extended!

boy, that's a vote of confidence, isn't it...

the moves during the off-season can't be assessed until the season starts...on paper, they'll all look good.

i say extend him now, so he has that aspect of his job out of his mind, and he can focus on the off-season.

I believe Randy wants to stay, now its up to Wayne to give him a contract extension.

Randy has to earn it first. He knows what kind of owner he has in Wayne. He knows that if he gets the job done Wayne is going to do more than right by him. He's gotta get the job done though, no more excuses. Satan's gone, Cam knows his place, "Get the job done."

I kinda like the quote, "Miami Dolphins general manager Randy Mueller has not yet interviewed, and though he is on the list of eight candidates, it appears both the Titans and Mueller may be backing away from each other in the process and that Mueller will not interview at all."

Alright hand him an extension but not a long one! Just so he can focus everything on his work this off-season so he isn't doing quick fixes because he knows his job is on the line!

The vote of confidence is the power. Mueller has been handed the reigns to personnel. Sure, they claim that both Cam and Randy have to agree and if they can't Bailey will step in, but that's for politics. Read between the lines. Randy was in Mobile, Cam was not.

It's Randy's show now. There's his vote of confidence. A stellar performance will guarantee a stellar extension. Has Huizenga ever proven otherwise?

The major problem with his contract has to do with the language not fully describing his job duties and thus allows other teams to interview him without having to seek the team's permission as long as they offer him more than it states in his contract. In terms of continuity and building a winner, we need to ensure that Mueller doesn't get lured away, so that he and Cameron can work together to building this team.

I agree and when the Titans came knocking I was aking "Why in the world would Huizenga make Mueller such an important part of our fufture without securing that future?" But it seeems as though the Titans have backed off because Mueller wants to stay here. It could be that a contract is in the works or that Mueller simply knows that Wayne is good for it.

Eitherway, Mueller deserves the extension for his loyalty but on the other hand, it would be better business to let Mueller earn it, IMO anyway.

I have tons of faith in Mueller. He built the foundation of that Saint's team we all saw flourish before our tv screens. I'm sure he's equally secure in his abilities.

Good news on Mueller. Hopefully we lock him up long-term soon.

Cam was moving his family, otherwise he would have been in Mobile.

You obviously did not see/hear Cam's first press conference...he clearly said his relationship with Mueller will be like a marriage, where differences will need to be worked out...and there will be differences, guaranteed.

I say two heads are better than one in this situation, but I can assure you that Cam Cameron will not be in the Dolphins war room during the draft just drinking coffee and eating donuts.
