I'm just really pleased with the effort on both sides of the ball. We didn't run any plays on offense that we haven't run before; the difference was just in the execution. Ainge only threw off the wrong foot once. AND NO DELAY OF GAMES.

Meachem and Swain played like they are capable of playing. Meahem's spin move made my heart smile.

Running backs...all 3 had nice plays. The Hardesty great escape run was just...well, beautiful. He just never stopped turning those legs.

The defense just played so hard on nearly every down. The secondary could have got even more interceptions than they ended up with...

Totally shut down the running game of Cal. (64 yds total) That was huge.

I THOUGHT we'd win. I just didn't think we'd look this good.

The crowd was loud the whole game...probably the loudest Neyland's been on a consistent basis in a long time. Good to hear. My voice is all messed up from doing my part. :D

Bring on Air Force.

Man, that was a SERIOUS spanking.
I was surprised, but not as surprised as I was to the disparity in the original rankings.

Congrats to Tennessee, and I think we are seeing just how weak the PAC-10 still is...

Not to take anything away from Tennessee's performance but Cal was way overrated. They looked terrible out there.

People said that Cal looked scared over on their sideline and during warm-ups.

Yeah the Pac-10 does not have the athletes like the SEC. I was still very much disappointed in the Razorbacks performance. Thats two years they have let the SEC down. I did not expect them to win however I expected them to keep it very close. Still they are towards the bottom of the SEC.

Tennessee is back eh...that was a whoopin'

We're off to a good start to being back at least. Even the locker room interview's sounded different. Ainge spoke first about some balls he over threw when asked how he thought he did...and gave credit to our OL for protecting him...he never got hit once.

Meachem talked about blocking and how 'if your coach (Trooper Taylor) isn't tired ever...how can you be?'

Ainge also said that they thought they'd win the game and spoke about how they practiced so hard that the game wasn't as hard.

Just good to hear stuff like that.

Just because you beat one team does not mean your back. Last year they played a Gators team that was good and only lost 16-7 and 1 week later they best LSU 30-27. They only lost to GA by 13 and that was close til the 4th. They lost to the tide by only 3! The season kinda went down hill from there. Lets just see how things go in the coming weeks when they play Florida on Sept 16. I mean the Vols played great, But those were some gift TD's and that defense that Cal has is no where near SEC caliber. I am a Gator fan and by no means am I trying to hate on the Vols, But what I did whatch the game and from what I saw it was a Dominating Vols Defense and a kinda lucky Vols offense. However I was very impressed with the Vols yesterday.

well, they won and killed that team..im not a vols fan (but a cane fan), but Tennessee looks like they are back to me

if you see the Vols winning games, you'll know that they're back

Well, the Vols are looking like they're back but only time will tell. However since I'm a Vols fan I'll say they're back.

I knew I would get hit with some bad comments and ppl thinking I am crazy, But I guess thats what happens when ppl have different opinions and don't follow a group. I will stick with my comments and say Lets see what happens Sept. 16 when the Gators play the Vols in Knoxville. They have a great defense ( But they had one of those last year ), But they got some gift TD's on Saturday.
