Next season those two would be free agents and we have the cap space to sign both I think. who would you want.

My Dram Line backers for 2009.
OLB :porter MLB:Rey Mauluga MLB: Channing Crowder OLB: Terell Suggs

We have Joey Porter, Reggie Torbor, Channing Crowder, and Akin Ayodele in our linebacking corps, which doesn't look too shabby, IMO. That being said, I wouldn't mind having Roy Williams, Ted Ginn, and Ernest Wilford as our WRs.

I would go with Roy Williams, probably. Something about those Baltimore defensive players when you get them outside of Baltimore...

I would much rather focus on finding a top gear OLB through the draft than getting a veteran. You know, someone young that's got this massive burst and you can put him in position to make plays right away, while he learns the tricks of the trade.

But it's a good question. I thought you meant Roy Williams the safety and I was like, is that even a question?

Do you mean someone like Virginia's Clint Stintim who was the nation's leader in sacks by a linebacker?

uva fan here. go to every game. sintim is nothing special. i don't see him being a big time pass rush guy in the nfl.

george selvie...now that's a different story

Selvie is only a junior and is not guaranteed of turning pro next year. This is the reason is I didn't name him.

Sintim had nine sacks and 17 QB pressure playing OLB in the 3-4 defense. You might think that's nothing special but that is darn good IMO.

I would absolutely kill to get Roy Williams. Sadly, there will be a massive bidding war for him as top tier WRs are almost impossible to get ahold of.

roy williams i think we are set at LB for right now so i would go with Roy Williams

Suggs, Something tells me that he could be evolve into one of the games premier linebackers under the tutelage of Bill Parcells (even though thats not who'd be coaching him). Roy Williams is another hype created over rated wideout.

well ROY Williams the receiver is 10 times a better then ginn and our wrs right now are so overrated i cant believe that any fan that wants to win would defend our wr corp. now there is potential but potential doesnt always translate into wins.
I am not trying to ba a butthole here , howver i must point out that hagan and ginn dont scare other defenses and the media keeps pointing this out which i agree with .

i'm pretty sure most of those #s came from chris long and jeffrey fitzgerald being double teamed on almost every play. chris long we all know was one of the best in the college game last year as a 3-4 end and jeffrey fitzgerald was being groomed as a future 1st round pick as a 3-4 end b4 he was kicked off the team this spring.

those #s are good but i think it''s more a reflection of the 2 ends in front of him flat out handling business and having to be accounted for by multiple defenders than a endorsement of clint sintim as a player and a pro prospect.

Maybe so, but is Roy Williams really worth what the Dolphins would probably have to either pay for him? Or give up for him through a trade. I dont think he is, not for his one really excellent season.

come on guys... Detroit will put the Franshise Tag him, there is no way they will just let him walk away for nothing.

I've seen pretty much every game of Selvie's, including all his home games right at Raymond James Stadium. I love the guy, and I was one of the first to be singing his praises before he'd really broken out...but I really don't see the guy as an outside linebacker. He's a defensive lineman...maybe a bit undersized, but effective nonetheless. There's more to the decision to play OLB than just weight. The guy needs to have a game that lends itself to it.
