Terron Armstead on his retirement: “I was only able to play under the pain meds”

Not really. Not if it’s just “this is annoying”. Every week people “lol’d” or whatever because it was expected.

People also trashed Grier for the contract. And the team for just general ineptness and constant merry go round of PREDICTABLE trash.

If someone trashed TA the person it was absolutely an exception not the rule. I never saw it.

This is a huge message board and 10% of all the posts are absolute abomination of people and thoughts… and that’s everywhere with everything. If you’re saying it was anything more than that I’m gonna say that is revisionist history.

It’s perfectly okay to say that 10% are shitty posters, or at least shitty postings.

Why did you take issue with this? He wasn’t wrong….

IPA's and or whiskey game day, cheers at beginning of game

This is America! We don’t have to choose!

For example, I’m currently drinking a Miami Vice right after Jameson’s!

Of course, I’m on a cruise, so rules don’t apply.

And…well, technically I’m not in America at the moment.

Actually, never mind. Disregard this post entirely.

Everyone knew that Terron signed for less than was expected... I suppose this was why.

In the long run, he played in 13, 10, and 15 games for us-- producing a pro-bowl type of performance when he played.

Not the worst result considering what FA linemen get in the open market. It was a LOT better signing than Ramsey.

True. A lot better signing than Ramsey signing.

Enjoy the cruise, love them and need one in my life soon

They still make you take out a second mortgage in order to afford the WiFi on a cruise? What a scam that was

Because the fringe trash nonsense is not worth addressing and the implication was that it’s some bigger deal or that there are SPECIFIC posters meaning it’s more of a rule/common which simply is not true.

If we want to address every singular stupid post when there are a thousand better ones made every day… maybe we’re the stupid ones.

If the fringe trash nonsense becomes so intrusive that it detracts from the site, it needs to be called out. Particularly if there are specific accounts that exclusively do that.

Just my opinion.

If your knee is that jacked up from year 3 how the heck you pass a physical and command the highest tackle contract in football at the time? Or at least top 3

Unless Miami just said screw it you don’t have to practice we just need ya on gameday which would be hard for me to believe they would invest in Armstead as much as they did. From a financial standpoint.

I mean I know need trumps a lot but whoof leap of faith much?

Nonsense. You’re (and feverdream) doing literally the opposite - you are legitimatizing and calling attention to posts that are rare and everyone understands as useless.

You get 100 posts if 99 are useful and the one you address is the 1 bad post, you’re part of the problem. And you’re making things worse.

Sorry but you and him are totally wrong.

I take it you miss Chad? 😂

I think there is a lot of it here unfortunately.

Constant posts about this or that player being 'soft', or lazy... brothers slamming players who are killing themselves to succeed, but failing.

The three thousand posts about Liam Eichenberg alone should be proof of this. Then add in all of the hundreds of posts about Armstead over the last couple of years... or the ones about McD establishing 'rest days' for his older players. There have been hundreds of posts complaining about that... (and now we see just how necessary they were).

I point this out because those posts have always bothered me, because they are based upon ignorance. Ignorance and a childish sense of outrage that the players aren't as good as the particular fanboy wanted them to be. Spoiled children pointing fingers and establishing blame.

I hate that ****, and there's a LOT of it here.

Sadly.

Spot on Fever. Hopefully this season will give the complainers something else to focus on. Nothing (with playoffs and SB victories being the exception) would give me more pleasure than if Eich plays extremely well this season. Heads would be exploding en mass.

Honestly, I don't expect it to change much; it's the nature of sports boards. Lots of aggression and little compassion are pretty much the rule at almost any fan board.

I will jump in and point this out when I see an opportunity, and with the revelation of JUST how hard it was for Armstead to continue playing, I see it as a moment of clarity. As in, examine yourself; take a LONG look at some of the horrible things you have written. I generally don't name names, but there have been a lot of muscle-heads travel through FH over the past few years. There's just been this deep-seated resentment of any player who has failed to become a star, or worse yet... become injured. There's always a couple of flamethrowing bros who'll pop into a thread and talk about the old days, Shula never would have allowed that... or they'll question a player's dedication or manhood.

It's a societal sickness. Teron Armstead was NOT 'soft', he was NOT 'some typical lazy millennial'... he left every single bit of himself out on that field, and those who belittled him or McD for giving him rest days should be ashamed of themselves.

Do I think they will be?

No.
