TE's are gouging us

As I posted in another thread I think its worth showing what has changed with our coverage of TE's (who primarily go across the middle).

Last year we had TE's kept in check for the most part:

55 Receptions
591 yards

10.75 yards/Reception or 36 yards/game

In the first two games of 2009:

12 Receptions
296 yards

24.67 yards/Reception
145.5 yards/game

Just my opinion but I feel that Taylor is a weak point. Roth was very underrated for his work last season and I feel we need him back to get this defense back to where it was.

I agree with the title of your post. We have faced 2 great tight ends and both of them tore us up. I didnt see Jason Taylor covering Clark at all. Roth wouldnt help with that. Our safeties and MLB's were getting beat all night.

OLB's that can play a strong 9 technique (which Roth was able to do because he was converted) can cover TE's initially.
