Here is why it is Tony's line: it his expertise on the gridiron. He brought in guys and moved guys AND tinkered with guys for years AND still has not fixed this group.

Tony brought in no one. There is not a coach in the NFL who decides on which player is drafted or which Free agent is signe, period, end of story. Your limited knowledge of how things are actually done in the real world shows again. The GM, owner and people above Tony make those decisions. Tony has control over which players on the roster makes the 53 man roster and PS, thats it. Miami is no different then any other team in the NFL

You are absolutely incorrect.

IF you remember when Ross was swooning Jim Harbaugh, Tony got MORE control over roster decisions as a consolation prize.

By the way....NO NFL COACH determines who is drafted. You are laughable in your argument.

Let's see, does that guy in New England call the shots? How about Andy Reid? Pete Carroll has total command of all things with the roster.

Not asking just making a statement that he took most of the blame for the defense bailing Monday night so why is Tony still being held responsible for the offensive line when he is not the offensive line coach?

Because the offensive line is Tony's alleged line of expertise. Supposedly, that's the reputation that preceeded him before coming to Miami. Keep the excuses rolling, though.

Ireland and Sparano are selecting the players and making the decisions. The oline will get better as the season progresses but I think we will never be a top 10 line with Carey, Incognito, and Colombo.
3/5 of the line is comprised of worn out back up players. The fact that the staff believes in the guys or is willing to get by with these guys, is telling. We had a chance to bring in a couple of other veterans to complete with them, but they close to let them compete with the Berger's of the NFL. If the season blows up in their faces like a cheap cigar, the reason will be the oline.
