Texans: Battle of 3 Ticks

A couple great write ups on Keys to the Game for the Texans, ... BUT ...

I think the Key Element to beating the Texans is the "Battle of 3 Ticks". This is the key to scoring for both teams.

Our D needs to limit Schaub to less than "3 Ticks". Will be tough with their running game.
- NE killed us as Brady had all day, often 5-7 ticks!!

Henne does just fine this year when he has 3 Ticks. We saw what he can do when he had "3 Ticks" vs New England, but he often didn't get that much time.

You can boil it all down & I believe "3 Ticks" will tell the story.

The Op is probably think the ball has to be thrown in 3 seconds or less.. I disagree. Both QB's will buy more time moving in the pocket.
We had no pass rush against Ne's patchwork oline. I am not expecting a big improvement against the Texans..but I guess we will find out Sunday

3 Seconds, usually called 3 Ticks in football ... this is how Brady killed us & what Henne needed for success.

If your team can win that battle ... the other pieces fall in place ... The Battle of 3 Ticks on both sides of the ball will probably determine the game.
