Can we snipe their runningbacks, linebackers, or offensive line coaches? They seem to have done good jobs.

Every coach Joe snags has to have a family or friends connection to him or the New England area OR in cases, where he could not find someone, he just kept Tony's staff.

BTW, I would argue his three best coaches are holdovers....Darren Rizzi, Kacy Rodgers and Dan Campbell...interesting, eh?

Well, Mike Sherman and Gary Kubiak are supposedly tight. Find a way.

replacing one with the other would be an option.

I don't care if they're both on the staff.

Even though I think this team needs a housecleaning, I would be more than OK with two simple changes:

1. Fire Jeff Ireland and promote Brian Gaine.
2. Bring Kubiak on board to work with Tannehill and the our abysmal run game.

As I've mentioned before, just because Gaine works under Ireland doesn't mean that he is also incompetent, or that he shares Jeff's philosophies. I also have it on good authority that Gaine has good people skills, unlike Ireland.

Don't know how good any of them are but the Buccaneers are upset they lost Earnest Byner as the running back coach....they say he is the reason they went 3-4 deep at the position and got good production from whoever got the start....we need someone who can coach a little more out of what we got at the position

hmmmm....i'm just not sure how much of that schemes success is about the offense more than the position coaches...i really dont care how they fared with case keenum he sucks...i like the offense though and tannehill would do murder off the stretch run play action...if we worked more vertical crossers instead of just straight verticals down the sideline i think we'd be hitting on many more of those...

but until we get the right personnel for it it doesn't much matter i guess...

Benton's OL didn't look all that hot in St. Louis in 2005, the only season he was head OL coach there. i guess it is the personnel more than it is the coach in Houston

Yep and that's part of why I'm saying Jeff Ireland needs to be ****-canned immediately. Bring in a new GM and let him make a determination on the coach. If Ross really feels like Philbin is the right coach for this team, then fine. ****-can Ireland and promote Brian Gaine.

scheme and personnel would be my guess..they have good move players at left tackle left guard and the center is very underrated...right tackles not a stiff either...right guard is run of the mill guy

they also have backs who know how to press the los and run thru contact...they got nailed by injuries at the rb position this year

matt schaubs arm and athleticism were a major issue this year...the movement which was never great to begin with was gone due to the accumulated leg injuries etc...with tannehill we would not have that problem on either front
