Texans staff fired. Any good coaches we can snag?

the other thing about the texans is they know how to develop tight ends...those guys for them do nothing but improve...again though is it scheme driven and all that misdirection getting defenses leaning etc that drives it or is it coaching up talent...

a little of both imo...that young tight end graham i think his name is i would love to have...

I'm good with Clay, and can't see adding Keller as the same TE. I like Sims but, he was somewhat disappointing (gotta give him another year). No idea what to think of Egnew.

So, what kind of TE are we looking for now?

True. But I figure, historically, they've had great play from RBs, a great zone blocking line for those RBs to run through, and good linebackers. I think this was a fluke year for Houston. The parity in the league was probably at an all-time high, they were racked with injuries, and got stuck with Matt Interceptschaub.

Mike Munchak now fired, falling like flies.

Fired for being stuck with Jake Locker and Ryzn Fitzpatrick after the team broke the bank for Chris Johnson, who promptly decided to cash in and fall off the face of the earth.

IMO he got a worse deal than Chud. He won 7 games with one of the worst quarterback situations in the league. Rex got extended for a similar feat.

Wait, the Texans fired Wade Philips? Be great if we could get in on that.

He would not make changes to coaching staff. This could happen to Joe.

Word out #titans is that Munchak was fired after declining to make significant changes to the coaching staff.

Wade Phillips! He is one of the best DC's in the league. And please don't use this season's production to discredit him. They had more injuries on defense than a Steven Seagal movie.

I don't blame him. I honestly think he did a good job. He improved the defense and was developing Locker well. They just got ****ed by personnel.

This is what I am hoping for. And by the way us waiting to make a move is not necessarily a bad thing. Sure there are good candidates being hired but there are also good ones that will go deep in the playoffs before they can be hired. So being patient may pay dividends for us.

After the way the season ended I quess I'm on board for a fresh start. I still can't see how we lose to the Bills and Jets with the playoffs on the line.

i think munchak deserved another year but with his qbs inability to stay healthy i guess he takes the fall...locker had made some strides but there was still a lot of run mentality in him and some accuracy issues...

The Titans GM has given support to Locker. They released Bruce Matthews from his contract as OL coach. He's coached both the power scheme and the blocking scheme.

As for Texans, Benton has been a good one for a long time as OL coach. Reggie Herring (LB Coach) is also decent

How is it the Eagles fire Andy Reid who is a good coach, and hire what looks like another good one in Chip Kelly and just keep on winning? The way it looks now we can't hire one in forever. I guess we are just snake bit.
