Texans | Team interested in drafting Quinn?
Fri, 9 Mar 2007 17:46:17 -0800

Sean Jensen, of the Pioneer Press, citing Len Pasquarelli, of ESPN.com, reports the Houston Texans are considering trading up from the eighth pick in the draft to take QB Brady Quinn, and that they may already have an arrangement to acquire the sixth overall pick from the Washington Redskins.
I wonder if he'll make it to 6

All i know is there is no way Quinn is falling to the Dolphins...

Texans probably think Vikings would take Quin at #7

What's funny is say this is true. Now I know there would be no trade, it would be contingent on Quinn being there at 6.

But the Phins have already been reported to have talks with Arizona about a trade up. At #5 who would be the target. Thomas and Johnson would most likely be gone. Quinn is the only option of who they were targetting.

Who knows, maybe the Phins already have an arrangement with the Cards. Lol that would be priceless. Muelller would have one upped them.

Maybe.. but i dont see the Dolphins trading up for for Quinn...

Pastabelly has been known to be wrong on more than one occasion.

The Viks and Texans are the gravest threat to removing Quinn from our grasps. As much as I'd like to hope that he falls or we make a fair trade up, it looks unlikely. Which is a shame because Cameron could use a nice 1st round draftee to groom ala Rivers.

You don't say....

Nothing of great importance here, but just a few interesting tidbits/opinions on Quinn & the draft:

Texans toying with the idea of Quinn, but likely sticking with Carr
March 12
"San Antonio Express-News columnist Richard Oliver: " Notre Dame's Brady Quinn? If Cleveland doesn't take him with the third pick of next month's NFL draft, Minnesota likely will at No. 7. As a result, the Houston Texans sit today in a surprising position. They're working to rise to the next level, but may need quarterback David Carr to get them there. "

Lions may pass on Quinn
March 12
"Philadelphia Daily News (scroll down): Lions general manager Matt Millen was conspicuous by his absence from Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn's Pro Day workout last week. The Lions own the second pick in the draft. With the Raiders expected to take either Quinn or JaMarcus Russell with the first pick, Millen's absence seems to indicate that the Lions will bypass a QB and take Wisconsin offensive tackle Joe Thomas."

I'm certainly not afraid of the Vikings drafting Quinn. Not afraid at all.
