Texas A&M OT Cedric Ogbuehi, a first round prospect for the 2015 draft, will reportedly undergo surgery in the next while after he tore an ACL in the Aggies’ liberty Bowl win over West Virginia. The injury, which was first reported by Yahoo.com’s Rand Getlin, comes after a senior season in which Ogbuehi struggled making the transition to LT such that he was actually briefly moved back to the right side before returning to the blindside.

well there goes one more player that potentially could have gone in front of us and helped something else drop to us...

Could he drop to us in the 2nd round?

i have no idea i havent looked at any oline...i know i watched one pass set from the lsu kid collins in his bowl game and said that's not a nfl left tackle...he doesnt have left tackle feet...i'm not sure he has right tackle feet...but my guess would be guard right tackle...likely guard...

if miami lands orlando franklin they dont need to look at tackles they will have the in house options with albert james franklin and turner...from what i see

No injured players with high picks please....didn't we learn anything from Dion Jordan?

We need impact now.

I also think we need to shore up this O-line in free agency....as the draft is not assured of providing instant help there.

Franklin needs to be an immediate signing when the bell goes on.

Yes, we learned Dion Jordan was never the prospect he was hyped up to be. I was never a fan of Jordan even before we picked him but there were others who thought highly of him.

I was more excited that we didn't take Lane Johnson than I was about taking Dion Jordan. After watching film I thought he was an interesting prospect but his best attributes were not his pass rushing ability.

dont let that matchup against a limited chandler jones with that hip who looked like a shadow of his former self make you think that...

He started the last three games and held his own coming off a broken leg...arrow is point up. And if you'll remember I wanted him at RT for us.

i dont see long term future at left tackle...and i know chandler jones was like a 3rd of what he usually is coming off that hip in that one...i mean no wonder he sat so long before playing...he looked seriously marginalized

He doesn't have the feet for LT. Would have been solid at RT and at worst a good swing tackle to have on the roster.

i dont think he has the lateral quicks either and i think he's gonna make for a soft right tackle...and the last 3 games they played he faced a cinci team with no real edge rush presence these days other than carlos dunlap who has really become more consistent with his run d imo than pass rush a pittsburgh team that has nothing period on the edge and new england with a marginalized chander jones

although he definitely looks better than dallas thomas but that's not saying much...anythings better than that

He didn't play soft at UNC. We'll just disagree on this one. Hurst was a 4 year starter and before his injury I would say he was their best player.
