If Miami is able to deal out of the 1st rd., which I think would be a pretty good move, getting an early second to pick up a Dre'mont Jones, and pair him up with Omenihu at 16 in the 2nd - I would be pretty happy.
If the Dolphins exit Round 1 of April’s draft having addressed a different position of need – and there are many – they’re going to have to pinpoint at least one guy in the next couple rounds to invest in on the defensive line.
Charles Omenihu of the Texas Longhorns would be a worthy investment in one of those rounds, for my money.
The 6-foot-6, 275-pound senior defensive lineman had a breakout year of sorts, logging 9.5 sacks and a forced fumble to go along with his 32 solo tackles.
