Texas vs The Nation game

I didn't know about this game until today. A french canadian football site which provides news for the CIS (canada's NCAA) talked about "probably the top running back in the country" going to a "texas vs the nation" game

i thought okay... it really must be crap because i've followed the draft for a few years now and never heard of such event.

But i kept on reading and they mentionned that in 2008, 18 guys who played in that game found an nfl team. I was surprised. EDIT: i just checkd out and the few guys who are in an NFL 53 man roster include Xavier Omon and Tim Hightower ... not too shabby

I just checked out the roster of both teams on the site:

and it really isn't that impressive... but the game could be fun to watch for any die hard draftnik out there. There are some interesting players to watch. For my part, i'll watch it only because Jamall is playing, and i've played against him so... there's also penn state's safety, scirrotto and virginia LB Antonio appleby that i'm going to watch

There used to be a Florida vs. Nation Game if you guys remember a couple years back. It was comprised of 53 seniors from UF, FSU, UM, and the smaller Florida universities and colleges against the rest of the nation. That was pretty cool to watch.

i didn't know that... i was checking out the roster and found out it's not just texas... there's arizona guys in there and oklahoma players also... maybe it's players who were born in texas, but i really don't know...

Are you sure? Because the Texas vs. the Nation game I am guessing is guys who are "from" Texas....not guys who played college ball in Texas??
