Just read on ESPN that former 2nd round TE Teyo Johnson was released. He might be someone to pick up, he's a better player then Holmes is.

Yes he is an interesting player. He's definitely worth a look. I wonder why he was cut.

hes better than Diamond. He's a very good receiving TE.

Fell out of favor with Norv Turner. According to John Clayton

WHY in the world was he cut is my question. Yes he's certainly better than Diamond. He's also a better choice than keeping so many LBs.

Lots of good people we could possibly pick up, I can't wait to read the news tomorrow.

This guy is no doubt worth a look. Not saying he's Randy, but he's definitely a great red zone threat.

there are MOUNTAINS of guys that would improve this team.

Yes it's great WE CAN GET ANYBODY WE WANT almost. I think the 49ers have TE's they like as well so we can definitely get him. The reason he was cut was for not being able to block LBs and such. We might not need him for that. We just need him in the red zone. Otherwise we'll use Alex Holmes to plow over people.

Teyo Johnson isnt so much a Tight End as he is a someone like Matt Jones... A player without a position, too poor a blocker to play Tight End and has issues that keep him from being a lock at WR.

We need blockers. We've got enough playmaking talent. A nice blocking TE/H-Back would be nice.

We have a few. Heath Evans, Alex Holmes, and Diamond are all capable blockers. Other than Randy in the redzone we don't have guys to stretch the D.

It would be nice to have a red zone package with Teyo and Randy.

No need to be bringin in Matt Jones into a discussion like this. If Teyo Johnson was able to run the 40 in 4.37 seconds he damn well would have himself a position. Meanwhile as far as I can tell Matt Jones is the Jags most productive preseason WR and it ain't cuz he had the most minutes.

Jones will redefine what is possible for an NFL wide receiver. 2000 yards is NOT out of the question for him at some point in his career.
