Thad Lewis to start... GASP

I don't think bad weather necessarily hurts the Dolphins here. Worst case scenario is that Buffalo is incredibly energized for the game and beats us up physically, like the way they played the first two and a half quarters of the Chiefs game until the Sean Smith interception return changed everything. That was the best stretch of football from the Bills all season. They nearly carried an inept quarterback to victory.

And you can't mirror a performance like that if your defensive line is slogging around and can't dominate. The Bills have a significant home anti-revenge energy advantage to open this game but in poor conditions it can be largely nullified.

Philbin seems like the type who could use proper strategy if conditions are extreme, like a choice of when to take the wind. Obviously I shouldn't have been so confident but thats another story.

Overall I'd prefer to face Lewis. Manuel can look bad then make plays down the field. Big tough guy who is hard to bring down. Lewis is one of those guys who is clever and smart and can scramble and burn you in a limited area but it seldom translates to big plays or high point production. I remember one game against the Canes at Sun Life in which he was annoying as heck for three quarters then the game turned into a big rout, simply because he didn't take advantage of scoring opportunities and then had some key turnovers late.

Even in the first game the Bills were completely dormant for the second and third quarters, I've never felt to confident about winning a close game like that before.
