Thank God The Ireland Bashing Will Stop For 7 Days..

I am not an Ireland lover but if we had Gibson and Keller active, we'd have a much better of an offense - maybe even top 10. There are a lot of things I do not like about the offense but looking at the play of the 2nd /3 rd line OL, I wonder how much is on Ireland and how much is on coaching. JI doesnt decide who plays on game day and he doesn't control the locker room - or at least he shouldn't

Remember this was largely a new offensive group and it takes a while to gell. We've mixed up the OL and we are short two key possession type recievers. I think most teams would be folding right now on O with that kind of adversity ... not to mention the off the field stuff. At the end of the day, I think Jeff is average. But I also think we have some signifigant talent along with players with just enough talent to be a better team under better coaching.

countless of late round picks that are balling more than their counterparts that were drafted in the same around across the entire league. Cap space for years. Franchise qb. 9th youngest team in the league. We have all our drafts picks for the next couple of years. Brandon marshall has never won a playoff game, and vontae davis got rosted all day today, while nolan carroll, grimes, and patterson have led this defense to a #2 in the league ranking. Yeah he sucks..

Facts:

### from the 2012 draft: Rishard matthews, selected 227th, was great value in the seventh round and has become a solid slot receiver since brandon gibson’s injury. nobody selected that low in 2012 has been as good, and only one other nfl receiver (vincent brown) has as many catches (30) without a drop.

Matthews has caught 68 percent of balls thrown to him, which ranks 22nd among 112 receivers. “i’ve proven i can be trusted,” he said.

Olivier vernon at no. 72 and lamar miller at 97 were also good value, though we’re focusing here on picks in the bottom half of the draft.

### from 2011: no player chosen in the sixth or seventh round that year has been as productive as charles clay, selected 174th. Clay (53 catches, 581 yards) ranks sixth among tight ends in receptions, has more catches than anthony fasano in any of his five seasons in miami and might break randy mcmichael’s single-season record for receiving yards by a dolphins tight end (791 on 2004).

“he’s making some clutch catches that he didn’t make all the time last year,” offensive coordinator mike sherman said.

Seventh-round cornerback jimmy wilson, picked 235th in 2011, has improved significantly; quarterbacks have a 67.9 rating in his coverage area, which is 19th-best in the league and down from 99.6 in 2012.

### from 2010: Reshad jones (drafted at 163) and to a lesser extent, nolan carroll (145) rank arguably among the top 5 to 10 players picked in rounds five through seven that year. (pittsburgh’s antonio brown is clearly the best.)

jones’ play has declined somewhat from a year ago, but carroll is much-improved; he’s allowing a 66.1 passer rating in his coverage area. that ranks 15th-best among 112 qualifying cornerbacks.

### from 2009: none of the 130-plus players picked in the fourth round or lower are clearly better than brian hartline (chosen 108th), and he might be the best. also, chris clemons (165) ranks among the top five to 10 players plucked in the fifth round or lower that year, along with the dolphins’ gibson (drafted 194th by philadelphia).

After miami picked clemons, dallas then chose clemson’s other safety, michael hamlin, who is out of the league. Pro football focus ranks clemons 13th among 84 safeties; he has allowed only six completions.

so he gets bash for his 2nd and 3rd round misses, but no credit for all his other hits, like charles clay, jimmy wilson, nolan carroll and etc. #****thehaters..
how about his 2nd and 3rd rounders?

Jake Wrong. 1st overall pick.

Double checkmate. And we haven't even gotten to the FAs.

but he was a probowler for us for four years and played five for us.

5 catches for 44 yards in 2 years?

he is used alot in our blocking packages. Which is what the coaches wanted out of him. Therefore, he is not a bust.

This isn't a game you are going to win.

really bring it, but i have to go to bed soon. anyways, better go on that paperbag over head rant down at headquarters again. finfan54 doesnt control the miami dolphins.

Thank God we won't have all these stupid "OmG!!1!! Ireland sucks" and "No, Ireland is the best evarzzz!!!" bickering threads after two straight big road wins.....oh wait......nevermind.

so he overruled and the guy ends up in the probowl. the league helped in the deal.

So what if he is in the Pro Bowl. The Pro Bowl, as much as I loved it as a kid, is a joke anymore and barely exists.

Regardless of what the League helped do, it was still Ireland (reportedly) that said to keep Incognito. So he needs to be the one to shoulder the blame.

blame for what? his offield actions? you do realize that most of what has been mentioned in this case happened offield. Why should he lose his job over something the league said was ok according to the law? Why does Martin the rat get to determine why others lose their jobs?

Um, I'm pretty sure I already said this, but I guess I will repeat myself in more detail.

Philbin wanted to ax Incognito after the golf incident. Because Philbin doesn't put up with bull**** off field antics. This is the reason Chad Johnson got the ax. Regardless of what the League says is "OK."

Now follow me here, if the reports are accurate, Philbin was over ruled by Ireland on cutting Incognito. By allowing Incognito to stay on the team, it gave Martin's dumb ass a scape goat. If Incognito had been axed, as Philbin had wanted, there wouldn't have been any Bully-Gate. And no, I doubt there is anyone else on the team who Martin could have blamed. Because Incognito is known through the League as a dirty player, Martin knew he was the perfect scape goat. Blame anyone else and it's his character that instantly comes into question.

So BECAUSE it was Ireland that wanted to keep Incognito, it should be him that gets punished because he kept a problem player on the team. Do you understand now? Again, regardless of what the League said, Philbin doesn't like problem players no matter where the issue occurs.

And for the record, I want both Martin and Incognito gone. They are both trouble.

Not gonna lie, I took the bait. Obviously. Lol.

Its funny how improved the o-line looks with McKinnie, who's not even that good himself considering he was benched by the Ravens. Today was the first time all season Tannehill was able to sit back and scan the field for more than 3 seconds, he did it twice and he looks damn good when he has a little time. I wonder how many wins Ireland cost us by not just signing McKinnie before the season? At least 1 and probably 2 or 3 in my estimation.

The scary thought is we need to rebuild the line AGAIN with at least 3 new starters, why in the living hell should we trust Ireland to try AGAIN?

I understand Ireland criticism - he's far from perfect. Having said that, you've been around long enough to know that one game - even a Super Bowl win- wouldn't silence the Ireland haters.

Maybe we should get by the Bills before you talk SB...oh..that didn't happen...

I like your sentiment but you are unfortunately slightly incorrect with your wording, change "will stop" to "should stop" ... Bashers will always find new and interesting ways to bash.

That is only because this team finds "new and interesting ways" to fail!!!!

Those darn Ireland bashers, what naive rascals.
