When will people learn that it's not about one player. It's about the team.

Pick #56 versus Chris Chambers cap charge?

I'll take pick number 56........

chris chambers is a proven top 5 reciever in the nfl and we gave it up for a 56 pick for someone that has a 1-20 chance of being close to chambers talent

True Zod, if a bit cheeky, right now we would be working the phones trying to get something for Chambers, we would be fortunate to recieve a 4th rd pick for him in the offseason, now we have #56 on a rebuilding team that is no small thing.

It may even allow us to trade out of #32....

Actually, it won't be #56. If the Giants lose to the Packers, the pick will be #58. If the Giants beat the Packers, it will be pick #57. Either way though, we got more trade value for Chambers then we did for Welker.

I waited for this moment. Every Charger fan that came around during the year (including today) should come see this thread now.

The Chargers are now in the same boat as the Dolphins.... Sitting at home watching the Patriots play in the Superbowl. We knew the Dolphins would not be in the Super Bowl when Chris Chambers was traded. Now the Dolphins do not owe Chris Chamber 5+ million dollars next season.

 Top 5 receiver. Wow.

Tremendous trade that was. Loved it then, love it now.

we drafted chambers in the second round. you know chambers had a decent game today but still lacks that extra burst to be a true number one. i seems like if a db bumps him he just cant get separation. i really do like chambers he's a quality WR but not always dependable. i'll take a pick and see what they can do with it. i mean things can't get worse...

Is he a top 5 WR in the AFC West? Probably....

Is he a top 5 WR in the NFL? No chance in hell....

:sidelol: Chris Chambers is the same for the Chargers as he was for the Fins, he makes great catches when they don't matter while standing out of bounds in the endzone and does nothing to help his QB's I have seen at least 1 interception in every Chargers game i've watched this season that was Chamber's fault! Granted I've only watched about 3 but still

I'm glad the guy is gone, he was a nice guy, but he's nothing special on the field and not worth anything near what he is being paid.

Thanks for the Pick!
