Hey guys, been out of town for a bit. Was in New Orleans doing some work down there. Wow! Is that place still a mess. Got club level tickets to the Saints-Falcons game last week and saw a great game. Not to mention but the food in the club level is sooooooooo good! Where else can you have jumbalaya and etouffe at a game. Really weird watching a game in a dome. And not used to being at a NFL stadium where 99% of the crowd is rooting for the home team, God I'd love to get rid of all the Jets, Bills,Radiders fans. Spooky being in there, at least for me anyways. Got 6 inches of snow there as well, they are all weirded out because the last time it snowed there was the Christmas before Katrina. Really happy to be home with my wife who needs me now that she has less than 1 month left until she gives birth to our first child who will be the baddest Dolphin little guy out there.

Anyways the reason I'm thanking Jerry Jones is, I heard this on 760 am w/ Cohen, thanking him for getting TO. Without him taking him we might not have landed Bill Parcells. Maybe he stays as coach or decides to name Tony head coach there. Something to think about, Merry Christmas guys!

I want to thank him for taking Roy Williams... he's nowhere out there, even with TO and Witten taking all the coverage...
 
Jerry Jones is a moron who has no clue how to build a championship team. Yet, somehow he hires men that are capable of doing it for him (Parcells, JJ) and then tries to tell them how to do it and runs them off. What a *******.

That's debatable. In fact a good poll/thread might be between Davis, Jones and Ford, which is the worst owner?

Exactly my point! We must all be grateful it went down the way it did. Had it not, we might have never got Bill or Tony for that matter. If he didn't overstep BP by snagging TO, Bill probably stays as head coach and most likely we wouldn't target Sparano only because he's one of Bill's guy's who he would be grooming for head coach there. They have a solid team with a ton of superstars but because of JJ's stupidity, they won't get the job done. And for all of that I say, muchas gracias!

Personally I would pick Davis as I really do believe he suffers from chronic mental issues.

Well if consistency counts, IMO it's Al(zheimer) Davis hands down on the basis of his 6 straight 11 or more loss seasons. And it'll only getting worse until the old geezer's inexorable slide further into dementia ends in a catatonic state, finally forcing Goodell to assert league control.

Wish I had the article at hand, BUT, when Parcells stepped down as Dallas HC he recommended that JJ consider two men as his replacement.

Dan Hennings and Tony Sparano!

Jerry was loathe to share the fruits of Bills work with ANYONE, which is likely why he refused to consider anyone associated with BP!

The KEY difference in the two IMHO is that Jerry Jones is somehow able to hire guys to run the team that are more than capable of putting championship teams together(in fact Jimmy Johnson DID) and yet he insists on telling these guys how to do it after he hires them and eventually runs them off because in his mind the Jerry Jones way is better. I think that makes Jerry Jones the worst of the two.

I have no doubt that if Jerry didnt insist on telling BP that TO was the way to go and a few other things Im sure he overrided BP on, Bill wouldve stayed there and eventually got that team a title. He was on the verge at least. The talent he left there was good enough to go 13-3 last year. The only snag I saw was I dont think BP had the right QB in place. But, he may have adjusted that. BP must have a problem in that area....you know...passing on Ryan and all.;)

I think that fact makes Jerry Jones the bigger moron of the two. Just a hard headed dumb ****. You wont see top notch guys taking that Raiders job. Not that they havent had some guys who might be capable of building a team there, but they didnt hire Jimmy Johnson and BP and run them off either.
