with something to hope on and build around. It's a great feeling to know Miami has one of the key pieces to a long-term run of success. The elite teams generally have

a) a great QB paired with a complete, competent team with depth, or
b) a great complete team, paired with a solid QB that generally won't screw it up or
c) both a great QB and a great team

This is a playoff team if

a) we get a competent offensive line
b) we get a solid D (not necessarily spectacular or even top 8, but somewhere in top half)
c) we get coaching that is a little more proactive and aggressive. Punting on 4th and 1 in a "meaningless" game vs. the jets in their end of the field is just such a fail. Do you really think that inspires a team or instills in them the belief that you think they can excel? I digress.....

FIX THE DAMN LINE BEFORE WE RUIN THE ONE GREAT THING THIS FRANCHISE HAS RIGHT NOW!!!!

Amen and well put!

Tannehill still has some flaws, obviously, but he has done enough to tell me he can fix them.

Love going to the offseason with the most important position settled.

Agreed. RT is one of the few bright spots on this team.. unfortunately i feel like we are wasting the new few years of his production while we sit and wait for the HC to be fired. New HC to be hired. New system to be implemented etc... oh well. thank the heavens. RT has been able to develop every year even with a ****ty HC and Horrible OL pay. Just another positive notch in his belt.

The silver lining in this season for me was seeing RT develop into a legitimate NFL caliber QB. Also noteworthy was the growth of Lamar Miller and Jelani Jenkins.
