Anytime Thanksgiving comes it always reminds me of that game against Dallas where you guys won in Overtime in the snow in Dallas. You guys remember where you were watching that game? Happy Thanksgiving to Dolphin nation. I don't see my Boys winning a playoff game. We're not as good as our record.

I was in Columbus Ohio. When Short-legged Keith Byers "ran" 77 yards for a TD on the ice, I knew we had a chance.

That play and the Miami Miracle both eerily blessed the team we played and cursed us the rest of the season.

Dallas won the super bowl and didn't lose another game that season and we didn't win another one.

Worse collapse in NFL history, From 9-2 and best record to out of playoffs. Never forget that one. Was so elated after that game and then the bottom dropped out.
Credit Shula for even having us in competition when we were on our 4th QB. When defensive injuries mounted late in season he had no answers.

My favorite marriage story ever. At the in-laws in North Carolina, dinner over, three minutes to go and my father in-law insist that we take his father back to the nursing home. Deberg is driving ...it’s fourth down , I stand my ground and politely tell him phuck off. Dolphins win, grandad is grinning ear to ear, he wanted to watch the game too.

The 02 collapse was pretty bad too.

We beat the raiders and were the #1 seed with 2 games left and we didn't make the playoffs.

I'm still bitter about that 02 season.

Agreed. Shula was doing it with smoke and mirrors after we had to pull DeBerg out of retirement, Oliver, Vincent and Offerdahl injures for the season. Was too much. Marino doesn’t blow the Achilles and we are in the SB that year, not the Bills - it was the weakest Bills team to go (on the decline) and Dallas was bearable unlike the prior year. Marino was also having his best season ever in terms of QBR. Damn shame.

I was at my uncle’s house in CT - we would go there every year since we were young kids and the thing that stood out was how everyone in that house was crowded into the room watching and cheering the Dolphins- other than my 2 brothers no one was really a football fan - they all got caught up in the magic of the snow and comeback GW drive - screaming as Byars got a first down on the 4th and 1 on a swing pass on that last drive - it was an incredible scene. So many years of dreadful Lions - Bears games I watched in that house and no one paid any attention. But that day, as the game wound down, every single person found their way into the living room - some sitting, some standing and ALL rooting rather loudly for our beloved fins. What a memory. Thanks for this, OP.

The Leon Lett Bowl, remember it well. I was too drunk to remember exactly where I was, but my focus on the game itself was impeccable... :df81

A classic. Little did I know at the time that the 1993 season would start to condition me for future Dolphin implosions. That game is a Superbowl preview if Marino didn't go down for the year imo. We won games with multiple QBs that year. Crazy we lost our last 5 after having the best record in the league at 9-2. Miami made a habit of starting fast and fading late back then.

Remember that year all too well. I was a fourth-year university student, and happened to have 3 exams on that particular day up in Canada. the last exam was an evening exam so I had to video tape the game on VHS tape. I avoided all contact after the game was apparently done, didn't even listen to the radio on the way home. Had a bite to eat and started watching the game. With a few minutes to go in the fourth quarter, the videotape popped out of the machine and the dash started to blink. I had run out of tape several hours earlier.of course, back in the pre-internet days. I had to wait up a few hours to watch the late night highlights on our local sports program. I was thrilled to find out the Dolphins had won the game and Leon Lett had one of the greatest blunders of NFL history!
