t-day tradition? does anyone want to get rid off the Lions on thanksgiving. I'm tired of having my afternoon wasted watching Detroit get blasted by 30 points every year.

We play in Detroit next year so maybe we get a Thanksgiving game next year

Yeah, im sure the nfl wants that 2 share in the ratings... wow, what a offensive fiesta that game would be... final score, 0-0 in OT

You guys are missing the most significant game we ever played on Thanksgiving, IMO. Another game at Dallas, 1973. It was anticipated all year. The league really screwed us scheduling wise by sticking us on the road on Sunday then forcing us to play on the road again four days later. Meanwhile, Dallas as I recall got to play home Sunday then home again.

That game was very meaningful because it was our next meeting with the Cowboys after they slaughtered us in the Super Bowl two years earlier. There was even chatter out of Dallas that we were lucky to avoid them in the '72 Super Bowl since they matched up well against us. When we beat them in Dallas rather decisively it shut that up and no doubt a measure of satisfaction for the Dolphin vets. It was similar to the Redskin Super Bowl in that we controlled the game physically but the score was only 14-7.

well the other option is Buffalo, therefore the final score would be 0 to -3 Lions

The Dolphins turkey game in which Griese threw 6 TD's was in 1977 not 1975....the best one was beating the Cowboys in the snow after Leon Lett decided to touch the ball.

THANKX FOR CLEARING THAT UP FOR ME I SHOULD HAVE LOOKED IT UP.
ME AND A BUDDY WERE ARGUING OVER IT OVER THE WEEKEND.
I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN HES A BILLS FAN

THE 1977 T-GIVING DAY GAME WAS GREAT BECAUSE CONRAD DOBLER ( THE LOUD MOUTH ) WAS ON HIS A-- ALL DAY BECAUSE OF A.J. DUHE, BOKAMPER AND BOUMHOWER.
AND OUTSTANDING DEFENSIVE PERFORMANCE!!!

I loved the whole Leon Lett incident rubbed it so hard into my friends face :)

Yeah, I was living in San Antonio at that time and remember that game well. We (my wife and I) were sharing T-giving over at a friends house (a Cowboys fan) and it was full of Boys fans. I was taking the ribbing of my life throughout that game but in the end, mine was the best tasting turkey. I almost thought about inventing the Leon Lett Diet due to the number of appetites he ruined that day. Good times for sure. :)

WERE THERE ANY OTHER GAMES BEFORE 73 THAT WE WERE IN ON T-GIVING DAY???

Mike and the Mad Dog said on the radio this afternoon that the NFL should get a 3rd game for Thanksgiving night.

And that Miami would be the perfect place to have it every year.

Maybe
Then again there is a 50% chance that we will be the Lions opponent on Thanksgiving day next year(the other possibility is Buffalo :goof: ).
I see Buffalo getting the game unfortanuley, since we've have 3 in the past 15 years, and Buffalo has han't any in a while if I remember.
