That 3-4 Defense

That 3-4 Defense is a pain in the a**, but not inpenetrateable. The 3-4 D, with fast LB's, is effective against the run, but still be countered with counters, playactions, delays, and draws. The Fins used these plays and some worked, some didn't. The "8 in the box" problem can be countered by post patterns and side-line slants. A good example of this was on MNF, when TB was trying to score on Philly's 1 yd line and Johnson threw the ball on a post pattern in the EZ, the rookie couldn't hang on to it. When they tried to throw the screen to Alstott he was stuffed by Dawkins! The "8 stacked" can be defeated, just need the execution and play done right.

Any defense can be beat you just need to execute. Teams are going to put 8 in the box against Ricky all year. It's going to come down to Fiedler (or Griese) being able to execute. That will make teams respect the passing game and take 8 men out of the box.

True CW, they did before. Our team would be very smart to watch the last Bills/Pats game to see what the Bills did right.:D

However, if you get a lead, then the Pats are in trouble. I dont know if we can overcome ten point deficits this year.
