So many people here are sooo fast to bash the media for bashing the Phins. While I agree there is a tinge of dislike towards the Dolphins, by SOME media, but did you ever think they are right. Is it the medias fault, we kept Jay Feidler on the roster, kept Wanny, Ricky retired, Boston was hurt ,we didnt go after Kerry Collins, we made a laughable draft day trade up for 1 spot, traded a 2nd round pick for a 3rd string QB, had an Off. coord. debacle, hired Marino for 21, with no real job descrpition. The off-season has been a complete mess, theres no reason for an unbiased person the think this team is any good. Im a diehard fan, and I think we will be hard-pressed for 7 wins. Im sick of seeing all these threads ohhh look whos bashing us now, oh look whos saying we stink, ohhh look they are picking against us. Enough already. This season will be an embaressment.

OK. Nothing but negative talk from now on.

Me first.

The Dolphins blow. They have a crapola O, the QB is a waste of a 2nd rd pick, our new RB . . . . no, wait.

This isn't any fun.

I got a better idea.

GO FINS! :beerbang:

(Dude, lighten up, what do we know until they play the games. That's what's irritating, nobody knows anything, yet already they claim to know we are in the barell with the Cards and Chargers. I don't think we are, can't I disagree, after all, I am a Dolphin fan. :D )

I can deal with some flack, and we do deserve it, but the trashing is relentless. There are plenty of other teams in the NFL that deserve some trashing too, but the crosshairs always end up on us. It gets old.

It's nobody's "fault" that Jay is still on the roster. Anybody who disagrees needs to show me how many teams are starting the year without either their #1 or #2 QB from 2003. The answer is that one team did so by design (the Giants) and one ended up doing it due to a failed drug test (the Cowboys). I'm not even going to defend Jerry Jones because he is clearly the craziest owner in sports. As far as the Giants go, they did what they did because they knew they were going to be a very bad team. This Miami team very likely would have been mentioned as a strong playoff contender at worst if Ricky were still around (even with 4 game suspension). That sort of team needs stability that QB, and Jay is that stability.

I'm all for AJ starting, but it's damned good to know that Jay is there in case something bad happens to Feeley...

will somebody please think about this....

how do u expect anyone who is not inside the " dolphin circles" to possibly formulate an honest opinion about any team.

do u honestly believe that these guys track the team like you and I do.

Hell no!! They make a gross assumption from afar and then fire away. It is a lot easier to be negative than it is to be positive...realistically speaking.

I say " shut up and Play"

....at the end then Hell can break loose on this message boards :fire:

till then...my Dolphins just happened to lose their first game. Next week they will be .500 and movin' on up.

Good Post.

However, I do have to point out that in the first game we did not exactly prove these naysayers wrong! I do still believe we will, but we have to do it on the field.

Until they are mathmatically eliminated from the playoffs I will still think they are a playoff team!

What I find comical is the Dolphins have been mentioned as SB contenders EVERY year since about '97 and they didn't come close in even one of those years. So year after year they were getting undeserved respect, now you had some bad luck this offseason and folks begin to turn on you yet you expect them to continue to be on your bandwagon? Why were they ok the last 7 years when they overrated you but now they are devils b/c they might be underrating you?
