The 1972 Team is getting CHEATED!!!

Is it me or do any of you feel like our beloved 1972 Miami Dolphins undefeated team is getting cheated out of their record?? First off, before I rant, let me say the New England Patriots are a very good football team and deserve to be in the Super Bowl ladda ladda ladda!!!I am putting aside the BELICHEAT allegations in this rant. Now with that said,I watched alot of the Patriots this year and I have to say I am totally fed up with the officiating of the PATRIOTS!!! I have never seen a team NEVER get holding calls. With all that time Brady has do you really think none of those linemen are holding???They never get called for offensive pass interference on Randy Moss's push offs, and I hate to say it but Wes Welker is the best "PICK" wide receiver in the league, which opens it up for the underneath routes and in the flats ala Faulk,Stallworth and Evans for 1st downs!! It just baffles me the lack of flags they get. On defense,Seymore,Wilfork,Bruschi,Vrabrel are all dirty players IMO,and then you have the dirtiest player in the league in Rodney Harrison. They never get called for anything!! Harrison had a helmet to helmet hit on our David Martin and there was no personal foul call.And Now you have Nick Hardwick the Chargers center saying how dirty Richard Seymore was in the game yesterday.I know I'm knitpicking but I am so freakin sick of hearing how good they are when I see alot of bad or lack of officiating!!It's hard enough to beat a good team and the Patriots are good, I am not denying that, but you have to beat the refs too. C'mon!!! I truly feel sorry for the 1972 Miami Dolphins that won fair, and with some class and dignity!!

If they do however, I personally can concede that they are the best team ever.

They've beat a number of good teams this year and have been absolutely dominant at times.

I hate em.... I can't even watch any games they are involved in I can't stand them so much... but I'm man enough to concede how good they are regardless.

Don't forget the Vrabel leg whip that wasn't called. He totally triped Rivers and no flag. With that Rivers couldn't follow through and threw the int leading to 7 points. I hope the Giants nail them.

I could not agree with this less. What would have the Patsies done without Brady? I can almost guarantee you that they would not have gone undefeated. Yet the '72 Dolphins went through most of the year with their backup, Earl Morrall. Who is the backup to Brady?...That's my point.

I agree wih this thread. Especially this post. What was the ref doing? He is supposed to be right there looking for these types of fouls in the backfield. He must of had his head in Belicheat's lap.:err:

we were completely dominant back in the day. Griese/Morral had no guys to throw to, yet they did it and won. then, they just gave it to the TRIPLE headed monster in the backfield. what to the hats do? they pass. that's it. they can't do anything. if you tell them to win by running, they'll lose.

and, the giants have won 10 straight on the road. and they're going on the road. WHOO!!!

does anyone know if Tom Coughlin has frostbite after last night? it looked like he did.

then, the hats have to play 2 times this year? bills, jets, and us. they didn't even have to play then, just give them 6 games. the East were better, then you would have to take 3-5 wins off the board. so, a lot comes from that. then, when they played the colts, i wish they had to play them without Randy Fungus. then, it would have been an amazing game (ending in the inevitible colts win).

dude? gracious after a 1-15 season that will likely end with the patsies tying our unbeaten season during our worst year in franchise history? why? i am gonna go as far to say i hope brady goes down with a career ending injury during the first offensive play of the superbowl. harsh? i know. warranted? think so.

Gracious? The Patriots were caught cheating. What part of that is hard to understand. In fact, they cheated so badly the NFL thought it necessary to destroy the evidence, lest a scandal erupt. Perhaps you easily dismiss that, I don't. Though in this era of cheating, it has become almost acceptable to some.
