The 2 reasons why this Bengals game is going to be a cakewalk:

I just watched the highlights of Sunday's game - Bengals vs. Jets. Believe it or not, the Bengals were only one or two plays away from winning the game.

Turnovers helped kill them.

However, without T. Buckley & Marion this year and without Surtain for Sunday - I'm not sure how our D backs will be about producing turnovers.

Watching a lot of the game highlights- there are generally only one or two plays that seperate a winning team from a losing team. It just depends on how things go on Game Day. Obviously, the ball bounced in favor of the Titans most of the day.

I won't be pounding my chest too loudly right now. We still have to travel to Ohio and face the best team the Bengals have put together in years.

And with Timbo gone and Surtain out - Rudi can run, and Chad Johnson can get open. Remember how slow Sammy Knight looked on Saturday? And Palmer has the arm to get the ball downfield.

Again - I'll have to stock the Fridge for Sunday night...:happydrin

Ummm........don't you mean 10 years?
No actually its more like 14 Einstein I & 2. And I have been there with them from lets say, 1976. Even when we finished 2-12 or 3-13 and we did have good years but I am not so down on my present team that I need to post the ACCOMPISHMENTS of their PAST. No we dont have the history that you do, but I'll be damned if ive strayed from my team at ALL during those down years. I'l be back Sunday night win or lose dont worry :)

I hope you're right that Surtain does play. But what if Wanny writes this game off like a lot of the fans are and DOES hold him out. I know he's questionable so what's to stop Wanny from resting him?

At this point in time there really no telling what Wanny will do. He already shocked/surprised us by benching Fiedler in the 2nd half versus the Titans. I know I sure as heck didn't see it coming. He's never done it in the past.

With or without Surtain, the high-powered Bengals offense will carve up the aging Miami defense. Palmer had a great game last week throwing to one of the best WR's in the league (Chad Johnson) and I don't see why this game will be any different. The running game will be just as devastating, with Rudi/Perry running for at least (a combined) 150 yards. Miami's offense has nothing and will not score too many TD's even against our strugging defense.

I predict that the Bengals will win 34-10.

Now you are smoking Crack! If Pat plays all game CJ is gonna have a rough one you are seriously underestimating our D aging or not.

Agreed that our Defense has a way of tormenting rookie QB's. Heck, they have a way of tormenting veteran MVP Qb's (read: McNair last week - 70 yards through the air are you kidding me???). We need Surtain in there for the thing to work though. If he's out then Poole and Howard will have to step up.

The other key that we need to watch is Bryan Robinson in for Tim Bowens. With Tim out we've shown a slight weakness against the long run. Last week's was a mistake by the DT who plugged the wrong gap (the same one Junior was shooting leaving the one gap open). I believe we'll get that fixed. You'll notice that once Robinson was in the game in the second half, the running by Tennessee slowed to a halt. True Chris Brown was knocked out, but the holes were shut down.

Cinci is going to try and throw deep on us. That's where I see our INT's coming from. The Jets have no secondary, and Cinci was able to light it up deep. They won't get away with that nonsense against our four six deep secondary.

On offense, i believe it's entirely up to the Oline. Feely and the skill position guys are going to be there, I have no question. We need to open holes up front and stop the Bengals pass rush. Does McIntosh come in for the partially injured St. Clair? I think so. That might be just the ticket. Let St. Clair sit on the bench and heal and begin his work as the back up LT for the rest of the year.

No offense but you do realize that the Jets have one of the worst secondaries in the league. It's no great shakes to "carve" up a reeling secondary that had just lost it's only star - Ray Mickens.

Miami's secondary will be a little more difficult, and Palmer will have to make quick decisions lest Jason Taylor greets him five yards back.

Section126.. nice stats on the rookie QB's. Was interesting to see.

However, This isnt just an ordinary rookie. Marvin played this one to the ladder and Palmer has totally bought into everything and is way better off than any of the other rookies.

He has a much better running game support. The receivers are top notch and the O-Line is good. But the biggest thing is his mentality. He will need this when you guys run the gammit at him. But I think he will be able to handle it.

Good luck this weekend.

that is not true, Not all of those quarterbacks were actually rookies. They were just first year starters. In fact Pennington was behind Vinny his rookie year.

if you want to be technical, all defenses are aging. However the only people who are football old are Seau and Zgonia. The rest are decently aged.

That was the point...we kill first year starters.

:roflmao: #1 Rudi has no shot at 100 yds. I'd be shocked if he went for more than 75! Palmer had a great game against the Jets.....trust me our defense is nothing like the Jets...ask the Co-MVP (Mcnair)! C. Johnson might have a decent game, but it will be because you throw 50 times trying to crawl out of that 27-10 hole you'll be in by the 4th quarter! Feeley for MVP!!!! I'm starting the bandwagon here....JUMP ON! :beerbang: :drinkers: :flag2:
