What a treat for fans of the MLB watching today's Red Sox/Angels matchup on Fxx.

You guys get to hear one of the best color analysts in the nation.

A lot of times it's good to be a fan in this neck of the woods. Best and most knowledgeable sports people in the world.

Tim McCarver isn't doing color for the Sox game today....

Just kidding. It's a pleasant treat to hear Remy today instead of the other two morons.

To bad in Atlanta they have the Braves getting done in by the Mets.. People in Atlanta still think the Braves can win the division, after this weekend I shouldn't have to worry about that..

It's frustrating watching the Red Sox hitters (namely Loretta, Nixon and Loretta) always swinging at 2-0 counts with RISP only to pop out.

Alway good to see the Sox bats come alive right now. We need to win this game.

Color me unimpressed with Jared Weaver. He's a youngster with good stuff, but he didn't live up to the hype today. His outing reminded me of a Jon Lester outing (lots of baserunners, flirting with disaster only to get out of it... eventually that comes back to bite you in a BIG way).

Now don't get me wrong, I think Weaver and Lester are very good youngsters, but you don't hear Lester's name getting tossed into the ROY race. Weaver is good, but he's not on that level with Liriano, Papelbon and Verlander.

Big Papi does it again.. unreal!

And Johnson didn't make it out of the 4th in New York. This has the makings of a good day...

Ortiz.... did anyone have any doubts he'd get the job done? This guy is unreal.

Tomorrow should be a good ball game with Schilling vs. Lackey.

In a clutch spot is there anyone besides Pujols you would rather have up in that spot.. Ortiz is 1A and Pujols 1B, everyone else is a distant 2nd.

Easy win for Lackey.

Maybe big news:

Keith Foulke (elbow) was a last-minute scratch from his rehab start on Sunday for Triple-A Pawtucket because of a sore back.

Foulke, who has been on the disabled list since June 13 with right elbow tendinitis, warmed up for about 10 minutes before the game against Buffalo and then changed into street clothes after returning to the clubhouse.

Wallace, who planned to monitor Foulke's outing, said the reliever needed treatment on his back. Foulke missed a week in June with a sore back.

There's been some speculation that Foulke could be traded even before coming off the DL, and this won't quiet rumors. "I'm not pitching," Foulke said when asked why he was scratched. "You can call it whatever you want. We'll let you know. I don't want to talk about it, really."

Maybe Foulke is going to be traded. He certainly sounded like he is from the quote above. Interesting....

Curt has not lost this season at fenway.Lackey however is 4-1 with an 1.69 era with 2 complete game shout outs back to back in July.John has never beaten Boston and Schilling has not lost to my Halos. It should be a great game.
