Hey, we're not the ones who have blown a 7-run lead and wasted a CG beauty on consecutive days.

Rather, we're the ones who have beaten Andy Pettitte, Livan Hernandez, Pedro Martinez, John Smoltz, and Roy Halladay this season.

And we have one of the longest winning streaks in baseball this year.

And we're 6.5 games out of the Wild Card.

And we've won 18 of 24, which not too many teams have done this year.

And I really, really, really want to see us kick the Yankees' smelly ***** on their home field so we can celebrate on their diamond again.

Marlins baseball: Black, teal, silver, and a little bit of gold. 1997...2003...200?

Damnitt the one time I want the Yankees to win (I hate them, but they were playing Washington who we could have passed in the divison) they have to blow two games

Boston please show your better than the damn Yanks and put the braves down so the Marlins take sole possesion of fourth in the divison.....

yes sir!

Red Sox are my second favorite team (not nearly as much as the Marlins but I enjoy red sox games) so it was bittersweet watching the Yanks lose....

Schilling looks pretty good tonight. He was taxed last inning throwing about 25 pitches, but he's been successful tonight changing the eye level of Braves hitters by going up and out of the strikezone when he gets ahead.

Also, it looks like Big Papi could be breaking out of his slump. He's had back-to-back games with solid offensive production. That would be just what this team needs, especially considering we're back at Fenway for a lengthy homestand starting tomorrow night against National League opponents.

Manny looks pretty terrible, but he's got track record that suggests we shouldn't be worried about him. Still it would be nice to see this offense clicking on all cylinders back at Fenway.

Did anyone just see Gonzo's play at SS? How ironic that it was off the bat of Renteria? Someone should tell Edgar that's how defense is supposed to be played.

Gonzalez is the best defensive SS in baseball. How a Gold Glove has eluded him to this point in his career is mind boggling.

Because your bat has a lot to do with how much recognition you get...and Gonzo couldnt hit the side of a barn for most of his career in Florida.....but he plays amazing defense

Hanley Ramirez does to...and he hits, I'll take Hanley over Gonzo any day I think Hanly will win a gold glove or two for Florida in the future...You guys should have kept hanley somehow

You gotta give something to get something. The Red Sox FO made the determination that Beckett was worth the price of Hanley and Anibal Sanchez. I'm glad they made the deal because, outside of a couple horrendous performances, Beckett has been pretty dominant.

I'll take a 25-year-old frontline stater and former World Series MVP over a SS with the skill set of Hanley Ramirez anyday. Although, I hope that Hanley does realize his potential because I do have a soft spot for the Marlins.

Oh I know Beckett is amazing when healthy, just saying you should have tried to keep Hanley at ALL costs, he is going to be way better than Gonzo

If this performance doesn't lose Seanez his job, then he's with us for the long haul.

You've got to be kidding me... what a friggen BUM!

I hate this bullpen so much...

Not only are we down 2 (****, we had the bases loaded with no outs and managed 1 run), but I lost a fantasy point because Schilling doesn't get the win... This bullpen needs to be blown up and shipped out. They're so pathetic.

We can thank Varitek for that beautiful piece of hitting. Captain or not, he's pissing me off pretty consistently this year. He's a liability at the plate.

Losing this game would be a disgrace.
