yeah man big deal.. its a series in July.. whatever happens tomorrow, happens. Who cares who wins the series the sox have owned the NL and win or lose tomorrow, don';t think you have bragging rights. just fyi

1 game in July will mean the same to you as 1 game later in the season if you lose the divison by 1 game

I dont care what the Sox have done to the rest of the NL im glad they have pounded the rest of the NL.

I cant say anything without you jumping on me the Sox are my second favorite team man, and I dont care about bragging rights, the only team with bragging rights at the end of the season is the team that wins it all, you can go look back where I said the Sox were by far a better team and I hoped we could take 1 of the games

Fair enough brother. I like your response to my whipping. You're an alright guy in my book. Cheers.

I conceeded this game before it started anyway, I just knew you guys would win.

But remember it doesnt matter if you win by 1 or 10 it only counts as 1 game and after tonight the series will be split 1-1

I wasn't trying to knock you or the Marlins but pointing out a rather bold prediction to a Red Sox hater, obviously not you. That's all, the post had nothing to do with you or your team so I apologize if you felt that way.

No its okay, It bothers me when people make crazy predictions....even for my team. I wanted to say something like 'There is no way we can beat them 11-3' its just unrealistic and makes a teams fans look bad.....like if I went on a steelers board and told them Miami will beat them 35-7 opening night....its just unrealistic.

Tomorrow should be a game, quick preview

Your going against Josh Johnson, 22 years old 7-4 on the year but a 2.20 ERA, he started the year in the Bullpen and since becoming a starter his ERA is just under 2.00, 6'7 and throws a hard sinker, he can strike out guys but isnt a strike out pitcher really.

Now you might say he has been pitching against poor national league teams...but look at the starting pitchers he has faced since becoming a starter

Pedro Martinez, John Smoltz, Roy Halliday, Jason Shmidt

I believe it was Pedro twice in fact....the kid is no slouch and even in his first season has proven he will be a great #1 starter down the road, great composer he never gets rattled and will go toe to toe with any hitter

Tomorrow will be a real test for him

Cant say I know much about your guy thats going tomorrow

Jon Lester is 23 years old I believe and is a top prospect for the Red Sox. He's a lefty pitcher and has been throwing really well since being called up. He's not really a strike out pitcher but has good strike out numbers. His only problem is like most young pitchers he throws a lot of pitches and walks a lot of guys. Lester reminds me of Andy Pettite.

Should be a good game between the 2 rookies.

And the Marlins rookie should come on top :D

Why he's still on the team, I have no idea. Next up is Tampa Bay for a 4 game series followed by 3 games in Chicago to close out the first half. I'll be happy going 4 and 3 realistically, however I want a 5 and 2 record.
