Ok so by going with your theory/logic 75% of the New York Yankees are juiced too becauase the work/ed with Jason Giambi and Gary Sheffield. Ditto for the SF Giants and Bonds. :shakeno:

Righttttttttttt........ moving on.

Apparently if the Sox traded Coco Crisp and Craig Hansen to ATL for Andruw Jones, they then were going to turn around and spin Jones to Houston for Roy Oswalt.

Anyway, Jason Johnson is on the mound tonight. So hopefully his starts in the minors have helped him with his pitching problems and could give the Sox something. If he's good he'll stick around, if he's not he's probably gone.

He too. Apparently Theo tried getting BOTH Oswalt and Clemens. Theo had a deal that was going to bring Roger to Boston but the Houston owner and GM got cold feet and nixed the deal at around 2 P.M. No word on who was going to Houston.

BTW, for those planning a trip to Fenway, don't sit in center field if it's supposed to be hot. I ROASTED on Saturday...it was fun, though. Sweet Caroline out there is great.

Nice, you got to see a pretty good game too. Beckett vs. Weaver. Ortiz walk off hit. I'm jealous the only time I went to Fenway this year I saw Kyle Snyder

Listening to EEI today, apparently there is some Harvard student graduating in '07 who is currently taking a statistics class. A final project he chose to do was an 80 page report on how he tried to statistically quantify clutch hitting.

I didn't get the whole story on the radio but I guess in laymens terms, he used OPS as one of his methods by comparing hits w/RISP v. hits w/o RISP. Apparently from his results, Manny is more of a "clutch" hitter than Ortiz. I doubt he took into consideration walk-off HRs and hits but still, if any of you are interested in this stuff I advise you to google it or try the EEI website.

Word is Varitek is out 4 to 6 weeks due to knee surgery. Major blow, but if Mirabelli can bat .240 until then it might not be as bad after all Tek was struggling big time.

Hopefully Tek will be rested up for the playoffs. Assuming he's healthy enough and the Sox make it.

Maybe the Sox will make a run at Javy Lopez in Baltimore who wants to be moved.
