NEVER Jeopardize the future by trading away picks.

9th overall pick should go to BPA, if someone falls awesome take him regardless of position.

i think if peterson is there at 9 we entertain the bills by letting them or the texans trade for our spot.

but anyway our picks would be sick if we could get levi brown and then drew stanton in the 2nd,

if quinn is there at 9 take him. and then jut get ryan calil in the 2nd and lamar woodley with the 2nd (b) pick

Textbook oversimplification. I'm not a big fan of trading away picks, but please never say never again. At least some English spy might request that. If there's a need and a conviction, who's to say that the occasional trade up is wrong. And also, not many teams more so than the Fins should be more aware of the central, vital role of the QB. I want to see Trent Green in a Fins uniform, but if they love Quinn, go for it and end this QB misery. Please.

i would rather trade to #6 cuz all you would have to give up is our 3rd rounder with washington. wash will do the trade cuz they only have three pick in the entire draft. then we could get quinn WHEN he falls to number 6.

You seem to be so sure that BQ will not be picked before.
I would even trade upper to #5 spot if Joe Thomas is available.
I hate the uncertainty of information everywhere, but as today if some rumors are true, then Raiders will pick Calvin Johnson (and will trade a 5th & 7th rounds for Daunte Culpepper), Browns will trade up with the Lions to acquire Joe Thomas, then Detroit will pickup Jamarcus Russell, Bucs will get Adrian Peterson as compliment for their Cadillac, Cards will go defensive selecting Gaines Adams, Pats will trade up with Redskins sending Samuel to Washington in order to get LaRon Landry, then Vikings pick Brady Quinn, Atlanta gets Jamaal Anderson and we may select among Alan Branch, Levi Brown and Amobi Okoye.
Who would you pick?

In the scenerio you describe (which I personally don't see happening) I would have to pick Levi Brown so we can lock down that position for the next 10 years. However, I think Okoye will be an awesome player.

We have many holes.

The only trade up scenario I like involves Russell, Johnson or Okoye.

As a previous supporter of the "Draft Levi Brown" bandwagon, I've come to realize there's very good alternatives in the 2nd round at LT.

I'm not sold on Joe Thomas. I'm fearful he might be Robert Gallery, Jr. And I'm not buying the Quinn hype.

That said, getting any of the 3 above while trading up have long term impacts on our team and worth the gamble.

If CPepp can return, Johnson would solidify our WRs for nearly 10 years. If no CPepp, then Russell could also solidfy us for 10 years or more.

And a 19yo college graduate who is already at an elite level but still has plenty of maturing to do.... well, that's a guy you replace JT with and let him anchor the defense for over a decade.

Given your scenario, Willis, Okoye, or trade down because I'm not comfortable with who's left at the #9 spot value-wise.

Yeah your right, that was a horrible move last year by the broncos to trade up with the rams to get Cutler. :shakeno:

Cutler, hehaaa you act like he did something:sidelol: He is OVERRATED let him prove something all he did was lose his team out of the playoffs. As of NOW it wasnt a great move by denver but they THINK IT WILL BE. If Cutler played for miami and played like he did last year he would be hung

Cutler was pretty impressive last year, got really hot in the last few games. Saban didn't trade up to get him because we had Culpepper.

Never, Never help a division opponent get stronger. Especially putting them in a position to take a back some people say will be the next great RB. I would just assume take him myself if Quinn or Levi Brown isnt there. Or listen to Green Bay and the Giants offers. Dont want to make BUFFALO better.
