I remember the 2011 Miami Dolphins- I mean good defense with two young corners, great linebackers. On offense, we had Brandon Marshall, Reggie Bush with above average offensive line.

"The coach who began the season for the Dolphins, Tony Sparano, was fired by team owner Stephen Ross, after a blowout loss at home against the Philadelphia Eagles, a week earlier. Secondary coach Todd Bowles was named interim coach and Miami prepared to make the trip North to Orchard Park, New York, for their annual road game against the Bills."

I also remember it was a fun filled victory, Reggie Bush making the snow angel after scoring. That was great! Since then...nothing good has happened to this team.

Wouldn't have minded seeing Bowles be named HC....Bush, had a nice couple yrs here, but no big deal he's gone. Miller should've been re-signed tho.

Personally I think the downhill fall started when we collapsed at the end of the 2002? season. We gave up a win against minny, then totally collapsed late against new england, dropped out of the playoffs, and have never really recovered.

I think it all started when they fired Don Shula to make room for Jimmy (the snake) Johnson.
Then this so called savior (JJ) went on to get rid of Marino.
I do give credit to JJ for at least two very good defensive players he drafted. Both players will end up on the ring of honor if they have not already been added. I also fully expect one of them to go to the Hall of Fame. Maybe both make the Hall?
Johnson's support of Wannstedt, was the straw that broke the camels back.

We have. Even bad for well over a decade 2011 didn't start anything lol it was in the middle of lousy

Feb 22 2008...the day that Ross bought 50% interest in the Dolphins, and then in Jan 2009 bought an additional 45% in the Dolphins.
Apart from the Pennington feel good year, nothing has been stable, no continual improvement...just the wash spin repeat that is this franchise.
Ross should own a laundry mat.

The team was at least competitive thanks to the amount of talent that Jimmy brought in. Those defenses of the early 2000's were outstanding.
Making dumbo ears(Feidler) our franchise QB was Pornstache's undoing. If we have a QB that could complete a 40 yard pass, he would have remained the coach.
A lot of bad feelings about the way Marino was handled also played a part in the fan base lack of patience.
That is how I remember it playing out.

No, he shouldn't have. Best decision this front office made last season. Vastly overpaid and a much better back is now in the starting backfield. No chance Miller does what Ajayi has done the past 2 games.

Yes, he was overrated.
