We were 1-15 last year . . . we needed a complete overhaul of this team.

Year 1:
Fix the trenches . . . we started the end of last year with the worst run defense and obviously a horrible offensive line.

We now have 4 of the 5 pieces (hopefully Carey signs that contract extension) of a young talented OLine . . . with the 5th piece in a camp battle (Mormino, the kid from Uconn and Murphy). We also have 2 young talented tackles in Wilson and Esera . . . the line is just about finished. WE probably wont have to address it next season unless we cant keep Carey . . . but dont worry . . .next year is another DEEP OT class.

On Defense . . . we became a BRAND NEW TEAM in one draft . . . Langford, Merling and Dotson . . . are u kidding me . . . and we got a MLB also . . . these guys are BIG ATHLETIC guys . . . perfect for the 3-4. We maybe need a pure NT prospect . . . but we have a couple guys behind Fergy in Starx and Solai . . who may develop . . . but that is the only missing key. Either way . . we definitely address the Lines in this draft.

We got another QB, 2 power Backs and a excellent blocking TE . . . that is all power football . . . and we took care of every element of it in this draft.

Year 2:

Now we go after the finesse guys . . . the skill position. We can get the DB's and WR's here . . . also potential LB's and a NT prospect . . . probably go after a TE as well. This draft will address what we couldn't in this draft. At the end of this season . . . we will be atleast a 500 team.

Year 3:

We will make the playoffs this year. The lines are set . . . we just will BPA this whole draft . . . CB, WR, DLINE, LB, S . . . we will know who the QB is . . . The Fins are back.

Year 4:

Potential Super Bowl run . . . after making the playoffs last year . . . now we can draft the pieces that we NEED to finish any small leaks that we have . . . after this draft . . . we will have no holes . . . our oldest OLineman will still be in his 20's . . . same for our DLine . . . we will have one of the best teams in the league.

Give it 4 years guys . . . . its not gonna happen over night . . . but I tell u . . . I like what I'm seeing . . . we are REBUILDING . . . finally . . . and its the only way to get us back to where we all wanna be.

Absolutley agree Kdawg!

Unfortunately....very few fans & people in general are understanding/patient enough to get all of this due to everyone wanting results NOW...

But, you really nailed it and true fans will understand that it's a marathon run to a championship not a sprint....especially after years of terribly bad moves by this team.

We have patched holes for too long . . . its time to just tear the thing down and start it over . . . and I am extremely impress that we got 6 guys on the lines . . . 2 power backs and a blocking TE in this draft . . . that is AMAZING.

Yea we could have drafted guys who probably didn't fit and had them starting . . . . and maybe guys like Merling and Langford don't even start from day one . . . its possible . . . but for the long haul . . . this will be a FANTASTIC draft.

Looks good but hate to see another 2 years before a playoff run. Maybe if we are lucky hope next year. You never know. :woot:

Anything is possible . . . but don't expect it . . . let it happen. If we did . . . it would be because of ALOT of first and second year guys developing rapidly and having a huge impact . . . its possible . . .but I don't expect it until year 3.
