there are two obvious scenarios here......
rd 1 - rb
rd 2 - qb........ or
rd1 qb
rd2 rb ........and a less liked....
rd 1 rb
rd 2 bpa
rd 3 or 4 - qb (the one i like....)

my question is.....which great talents will be available at 46?
i dont think baas will be available at 46....frye definitely wont be if cleveland goes wr or OLB with the num. 3 pick.... campbell possibly wont......for those that dont agree with picknig up brown num. 2, i think marion barber wont be there either, and morency or fason at 46 would make the entire dolphin nation weep......
im pretty sure either pool or bullocks will be there, but only one of them.....
aside from them, i dont see another player which might fi into our situation be taken at num 46.......which possible draft picks do you see us having the most likely probablities of picking up in the 2nd with KCs pick if we acquire it....?

There is also another option. Trade down a few spots and we could end up with a 1st rounder and TWO 2nd rounders. At this point, I seem to be switching between who I want in round 1. I really like Brown, but then I like Smith, and then I like Edwards. Right now I can't choose which one I want. Thank god Saban makes the decisions and not me.

I really wouldn't mind Braylon at #2 anymore. Then we could select McPherson, Walter, or Campbell in the 2nd round. In the early third there will be plenty of runners available(that could backup Ricky for a little while, Fason comes to mind). In the 4th we could select Ronald Fields or Anthony Bryant to provide depth at DT. In the 5th maybe a FS or a SS. In the 6th maybe a CB. In the 7th round we could select a pass rushing DE/OLB.

Wow, I know this is not school and ****, but please check your grammar before you make a thread.

It takes 2 seconds.

Now, I personally think we will not get a second round pick this year for Surtain. I think we will trade down and acquire that 2nd rounder.

If that happens I can see your scenarios unfold.

If we do end up with that 46th pick from KC, I'd like to see us take Antajj Hawthorne. (if available)

We need a young athletic DT who can get after it.

My first choice with the #46 pick would be David Baas, if he's already gone by them, I'd try to pick a C/G.

Hawthrone would be an amazing pickup in the 2nd round. Good thinking! We need some younger talent at DT, because both Chester and Bowens(who is still hurting) are coming off bad injuries and Romero is mostly just a backup/rotational DT. I read yesterday(some St. Louis paper) that the Rams still want Zgonina so we need a new DT.

Uh buddy that mock draft is nearly impossible in your sig.

Read the PB post stuff about Bowens and Chester and this idea has never made more sense.

Hawthorne or Castillo would be great and much needed additions.

Jaj,

Your stuff is normally very good but you are way off base here.

First off there's no way we can assume or even hope that RW is coming back. They have to go into the draft thinking he's not. Therefore RB is a huge, if not the biggest, need they have.

They aren't going to get a great or even very good RB unless they take one with one of the first 40 picks in the draft. Fason and Arrington are likely gone by the top of the second round.

The running back talent will be thinned out by the end of Round 2. Gambling on TA McClendon or Ryan Moats isn't good enough.

Campbell wouldn't be a bad pick in Round 2 but Miami can't afford to reach on McPherson or Walter in Round 2.

It depends. If we pick RB with the first pick, i'd like David Bass or possibly a WR if one like Mark Clayton slips. If we pick Braylon Edwards or any other position than RB, i wouldn't mind Marion Barber at 46, or possibly a RB in the 3rd.

No way man. Are you kidding me????

Fason just ran a 4.62 40 and was not his usual weight. He's a third rounder right now. Arrington? He's a borderline late 2nd right now.

Not THAT many RBs get selected that quickly.

At this point, the first round RBs are the top 3. Barber, Shelton, and Arrington are the next tier. So in the 3rd there are plenty of RBs including C4, Morency, and Moats. Next comes the Houston, Gore, Clarett, McLendon, and Sproles category.

I would lean more towards wilkerson.

Wilkerson in the 2nd round? ha

That would be a reach. Baas or Spencer in the 2nd makes sense.
