KC was the last undefeated team, so the annual popping of the bubbly can commence. Perfectville: STILL population 1.

Its sad this seems to be our only celebration every season. As for KC being a fraud hell they are still 9-1 and should be given credit for what they have done so far. When is the last time we were 9-1.
We were 11-0 in 1984 and havent been close to kind of record since

1972 was a perfect year, the year that kept a young vulnerable kid from becoming a Jets fan or Bills fan. That in itself makes perfection.

In 1972 there was no cable TV,There was channel 6,10,13,17,45

I played basketball in school and baseball outside of school. But was drawn to football more than any of the sports I played.During the fall of 1972 every sunday my father insisted on watching wrestling... Chief Jay strong bow,George the animal steel,Andre the Giant and so on.I liked wrestling but even at the age of 9 I realized it was fake and watching it every sunday started to get annoying.

So I found this battery operated 9 inch black and white TV and at 12:00 noon tried to find channel 6 and stumbled across channel 2 in utica. This is a channel we could not get on our 19 inch living room TV so I thought it was cool I found a 6th station. It was not perfect reception because I was picking it up with rabbit ears antenna.

It was the pregame for the Bills Dolphin game.I didn't know as a kid that Buffalo was in New York but was drawn to the Miami Dolphins team. The Jets were playing on I think on channel 6 so I would scroll back and forth.I remember the Dolphins running backs kept me watching and every time the Dolphins were on defense I'd switch to the Jets game.Thank god the Jets were losing and Miami just looked better than Buffalo.By the end of the Bills game I was a Dolphins fan.2 weeks later got to watch the Dolphins beat the Jets and Dolphins beat the Cardinals on MNF.

By the time of superbowl Sunday the Dolphins were my team.My parents sat down to watch it and I asked my father who he wanted and he said the Redskins I laughed and said no way.The Dolphins are going to win and go undefeated. He wondered why I knew a few of the Dolphin players by name.

Cheers 1972 Dolphins and every Dolphin team there after.......:brewskis:

Congrats to KC ... they carried on their fraud a lot further than we did.

Congrats to the '72 Dolphins ... Best of All Time, I don't care what anybody says.

I don't believe KC is a fraud. They play a brand of football that can win a ton of games and it's working for them. Their bugaboo will be elite offenses. I never really considered the Chiefs a threat to run the table though so was indifferent about them losing. Once Denver lost I figured the 72 Fins were safe.

Lol everyone knew Kc was a fraud

Did you watch the game last night? Just because they lost, does not mean they are a fraud. They look like a very tough team. I would not want to play them.

I enjoyed the Broncos victory far more than our game yesterday. It's never relaxing until the final unbeaten has fallen.

The Colts win over Denver was easily the game of the year. I watched it again last night. Otherwise I would be terrified of this Broncos' teams chances at 19-0. They might lose once or twice more but nothing is guaranteed, considering how many points they put up.

In Miami during the early '70s we had channels 2, 4, 6, 7, 10 and quite a few UHF channels. Channels 5 and 12 from West Palm Beach could be picked up, albeit with some snow. It was hardly a lack of information or entertainment. The sitcoms were far superior for one thing, with all the best writers and actors concentrated on the major networks. We also had two major dailies in the Herald and News, with excellent columnists and sections much thicker than today.

Things have changed but not to the degree of conventional wisdom. Besides, at that point we had the most terrifying venue in the league for an opposing team, and front office people who knew what they were doing.

I hope Shula and all the guys did pop the cork on some bubbly last night. I know the national media and fans of every other NFL team gets their panties all wadded up when we do celebrate....but screw everybody else! Perfection for another year!!!

Lol everyone knew Kc was a fraud

lol ...because they're 9-1??? I wish we could be frauds like that.

Its sad this seems to be our only celebration every season.

It's really all we've had for 20 years. Some years have been better than others, though. Seeing the Pats blow perfection in the SB was glorious.
