The 96 Million Dollar Question...(Good Read)

Good read, disagree with the last statement though

"and at least for the next few seasons, he is here to stay."

2017 is going to be interesting. He will have to play better than he has if he expects to collect that $20M paycheck.

Yep, "at least for the next few seasons" is far from certain. For the rest of this season and going into next season, it's almost a given, unless the new coach wants no part of the QB (seriously doubt anybody takes the job or is given the job w/o understanding Ryan is here and can't be cut) and Miami finds a trade partner.

This offseaskn will be interesting for tannehill. Who says that with a possibly new gm, new hc, and new oc, and with the desperation of some teams to find a good young qb, it's not impossible that if tannehill plays well to end the year we trade him to someone like Cleveland. Not saying it's likely but I'm not entirely convinced he'll be our qb next season. At least not 100%.

I think Tannehill's skill set is perfectly suited for a Gary Kubiak style of offense, Strong running game to utilize the play action and bootlegs.

More verbose isn't always better...:d-day:

It isn't necessarily accurate either

Lazor didn't assemble anything, he wasn't the GM or the head coach.

The O-line has been playing with back-ups all year. They would have preferred to run the ball more also, but they are always playing from behind.

The problem also is not that opposing defenses 'know that they are going to pass',

they know the QB struggles to pass past 10 yards and play accordingly. :finnasty:

Of course OP loves that link.
It's a Tannehill fan reading pleasure. Obviously that writer used his blog to basically make excuses for Ryan without holding him accountable for anything.
The pretext for 'Pessimists' pretty much says it all:
I feel bad for this group.

Now who on FH is writing that blog? :sidelol:

Do you ever offer anything to this message board but slinging **** at people that don't hate Tannehill?

What it comes down to is this: since Dan Marino, this is what the Dolphins have had in their camp....

1 Damon Huard
2 Ray Lucas
3 Jay Fiedler
4 Brian Griese
5 A.J. Feeley
6 Sage Rosenfels
7 Gus Frerotte
8 Daunte Culpepper
9 Joey Harrington
10 Cleo Lemmon
11 Trent Green
12 John Beck
13 Josh McCown
14 Chad Pennington
15 Chad Henne
16 Pat White
17 Tyler Thigpen
18 Matt Moore

Then we draft Ryan, who has his moments but is inconsistent - much like the team. So no, it's not all his fault, but at the same time he does appear to have a lower ceiling than the "franchise" QBs we speak of in the league. Sometimes he just reminds me of a better Chad Henne. Not sure if that's fair/correct or not? Since he's looked decent at times and you compare that to what we've had since Dan, the team just decided to lock him up for the lack of anyone better out there that we could get our hands on. It's a lot of money for someone who, as the article states, is going to need a lot of help around him to win games. Talent we don't currently have.
