"In today's NFL, spread offenses and defenses with multiple fronts are commonplace. Coaches crave offensive players who can not only play wideout or running back, but can also return kicks and punts. On defense, tackles who can drop back into coverage and also rush the passer are able to stay on the field all three downs. Versatility allows these players to stay on the field and use their talents for the most time every game.""

2. Reggie Bush, RB, Miami Dolphins
He is a dynamic player in almost every aspect of this offense and under new creative head coach Joe Philbin his contributions will expand. He had 1,086 yards on the ground in 2011, added 43 receptions and really got hot at the end of the season. He can still contribute as a returner in the kicking game, but with his heavier workload, he needs help in that area. Getting him the ball in space and on the edges is always a goal, but Bush runs between the tackles more effectively than you might think."

Finally some RESPECT

I concur. He needs to run real hard with a bigger chip on his shoulder this year. I think when we sub him and Miller in/out, move them around, it will really throw defenses off if executed well.

I think his production falls this year due to the other backs and offensive philosophy. Love the guy. Love what he's done for us. But I have a feeling he is two seasons and done in Miami.

How good do you think he has to play in order to receive an extension? Or does it not matter, he won't be back no matter what?

Personally, I don't think we resign him. Not because he won't play well, but we drafted Lamar Miller as a younger, cheaper option

today, that looks like it would be a mistake. Yes they both play the position, but you can never have enough explosive offensive players, and we have few.

Hopefully we use him as he should be used instead of driving his head into a brick wall like last year. Getting all worked up over a 1000 yard season is insane in todays NFL. I'm not knocking the player because for what we asked him to do, he was great. this is more of an attack of the previous staffs use of him. His main knock from the Saints days we the ability to stay healthy and his "toughness". He showed he can run hard and stay healthy last year now lets try to get him in space, IE through the slot and the screen game.

Agree totally. 1000 yards means nothing in a 16 game season. 100 yard per game average is the historical standard to match.

It was impressive for Bush because so many people said he could never be a feature back and never would sniff 1,000.

can't expect him to stay healthy with the same kind of workload in 2012 he had in 2011...we played with fire and didn't get burnt last year we better limit his exposure or i guess given he's only signed thru this year we could just ride him into the dirt...if we use him anything close to like 2011 and sign him to a good money extension well we're fools

Get rid of BUSH?????? Seriously?

Why would we get rid of Bush at this point? Bush looks to be entering his prime. I expect Bush to be used much like Ryan Grant was. By far our best player/weapon on offense.
