Last report I heard was that AZ was miles apart with Boldin and Warner is going to hit the market.

AZ already has tons of cap space and if they trade Boldin they will have more, and more picks including probably a 1st.

The new AZ defensive coordinator has stated they will be moving toward a purer form of the 3-4. They ran a hybrid last year.

They don't have all the personnel they need to go that way. They are solid at NT but they are losing DE Smith to FA and Bertrand Berry is so injury prone they don't want him back.

They are also losing CB's Brown and Green to FA.

With or without Warner they have need IMO at QB. I live in Phoenix and Matt Leinart has made an @$$ of himself here and he appears to be a complete flake. I don't see any team following this idiots leadership.

I propose sending them John Beck,Vonnie Holiday,Joey Porter, and Will Allen for their first pick #31 and their 3rd. They may want to try to restructure Vonnie's contract but he is part of the deal no matter what.

I believe that Vonnie's veteran leadership and solid 3-4 End play would be extremely valuable to their team. Bertrand Berry was their veteran leader but he is gone. Dansby is a good captain but he isn't the leader type.

With Dansby inside with Hayes they are
Lacking the intimidating outside pass rusher so important to the 3-4 Porter by himself is worth the draft picks.

Will Allen would push Rod Hood for the CB position opposite DRC but would probably be the nickel. Will is in his thirties now and only has one more year on his contract.

Even if the Cards sign another veteran QB I think Beck will have a chance.

This is a perfect deal for the Cards and it gives them the defense to get back to the SB. The Super Bowl is everything. It's worth spending some dollars on a few veterans.

The Dolphins get a couple of picks and clear cap opening the door to sign Coles,Brown and Bartell or Buchanon or Bodden.

Dolphins draft OLB and CB in the 1st round. Dolphins get younger.
Probably draft Pat White later on.

Porter will be missed, but with Wake,Roth,Anderson,Moses,Walden, and a 1st round draft pick. I think getting the cap room to get these FA's is worth it.

As far as Vonnie goes we are already deep with Merling,Starks,Wright,Dotson and probably a draft pick as well.

As far as treating players well goes; it's not like we are sending them to Detroit. They would have a legitimate shot at the ring and Phoenix is nice.

This isn't good for continuity but In IMO it's worth it.

Sharpen your daggers.

I would keep Allen and have the Cards keep their 3rd, but then the Cards probably wouldn't do that deal

I think the cap ramifications make those kind of deals an impossibility

You are crazy!! How did you come up with that scenario "I propose sending them John Beck,Vonnie Holiday,Joey Porter, and Will Allen for their first pick #31 and their 3rd".. shame on you

That would be a sick deal..If we could get it
I feel Joey's stock is at the highest it will get from now on so he is worth trading...But I LOVE HIM!
Anyways I'm 95% sure Arizona wouldn't do that because they aren't too many pieces away through a draft keeping what they had this previous year (if they don't sign Warner then that's a different story).
I like the idea though...I like it a lot

ya thats not very realistic. you rarely see those lot of player for a pick deal. i think Porter and Holiday for their first may work. Roth is someone else they might like. i just dont see anyhtign happening thought

This is a legitimate question. ARE YOU ON CRACK???

I dont think we would bend over and ask the Cards to player rape us like that...

Depending on the actual cap situation, the move is meant to allow the signing of two younger free agents like Bartell and Brown and then there are the two draft picks.

So,Dolphins give up 4 players but get back 4 younger players. No guarantee on how good the picks will be.

This makes 0 sense. Maybe if we got Boldin too I would like it.
