Hello,
I actually live in Chicago. I have seen Orton play all year. Knowing what I know, your opions look pretty sad.
I'll just give you a little info. Orton had NOBODY to throw to. Bears receivers couldn't get open. If they did they dropped the ball. If they had a decent game they got injured for the rest of the year. No tight end either.
Kyle was not well liked by his teamates. They would call him out, scream and yell at him, etc. Reportedly, Orton was too ****y from the begining..... you know the same stuff teams look for in a player.
Orton also was hamstrung by an offensive coordinator who hurt Kyle. If they did throw a pass, it was usually on 3 and long. If the run was working, Turner would pass and vice versa. The playcalling was bad, but that's usual for Chicago's offense for decades it seems.
I believe the original poster is right. Chicago has too many young QBs. Both cannot develope tied at the wrist. Besides, supposedly Kreutz cannot snap the shotgun. Orton has been raised in the shotgun. Another thing that hamstrings him.
I believe the bears also will trade Thomas Jones as well.
I will have my fun: I wouldn't be suprised if Jones and Orton were Dolphins this year. Angelo works with teams he has in the past, frequently. Perhaps a trade of Jones, Orton and Haynes for Frerotte, Welker and a draft pick.
People around here have compared Kyle's stats in his rookie year to the hall of fame QBs this past induction. Kyle's are much better than most of them. Roethlisberger makes Orton look silly though.
Hello, rookie QB starting almost every game and did well.
Here I wil try and put this into context. NFL players are like commodities. You buy low, sell high.
