is that we're only spending a sixth rounder next year on him.

The old administration would have sank two first day picks and a boat load of money for a former first rounder.

Saban and Meuller are doing a fantastic job

I would have been ok the year we traded for Feeley with acquiring Harrington for that pick. It would have made more sense. Hell the Lamar Gordon trade was almost as bad as the Feeley trade especially in the last year of his contact. There are only three words for this DEE,DEE DEE.

We may not even have to give up a 6th if the Lions don't release him until June, but hopefully they will let him go sooner so Harrington can get some practice time in during the camps in May.

Alot of people are thinking like you, and I'm telling you, u cant think like that. You have to give up the late round pick to guarantee his services, not to mention you bring him in even earlier to have him learn the schemes, because guess what?? There is a chance CPep may not be able to play at the start of the season or the maybe even the whole season. People are looking at this and saying "Geez another draft pick" we are only saying that because of the previous staff and there dumb mistakes, Harrington for a sixth rounder next year is a steal, especially in our situation here in Miami. Sure he may get released, but Millen would most likely wait until May 31st, and that month and change we lose could definetly slow up progress with him. Its like we have spent a sixth rounder on a young QB with NFL experience who we should have more confidence in that any rookie u can bring in.

Maybe when the starting position too!

Get Joey in here early. Many will be surprised what a change of scenery will do. Joey has talent, just needs the right coaching and the right cast. Never been a big Daunte fan, but will support him here in Miami. I would not be surprised to see Joey end up our long term QB:dolphins:

I agree, as much as I hate losing any draft picks for players, sometimes you have to do it to get the player. I know some people think we could just sit and wait until he's released, but I'm telling you it won't happen. Some team would be willing to throw at least a 7th out there to take a chance on him and even Millen isn't that dumb to get nothing out of Harrington verus a 7th or 6th. He'll wait as long as he can, just in case (which is a waste of time for him and us) but the deal should get done very soon, as several of the teams have either made other deals or about to (Cinc & Balt). Millen better hurry up before Saban gets sick of his garbage and says it's now a 7th next year. You just don't want to gamble that he'll be released vs another team coming in a grabbing him for a 6th or 7th because we sat a waited. We have too many ??? about DC to gamble with the whole season next year. If DC can't start the first 3-4 games, do you really feel comfortable with Lemon at the helm ? I'm not greatly confident with Joey at the helm yet either, but it's better than the other options at this point.

I'm rooting for both of these guys. I never really liked Daunte Culpepper, but when people starting doubting him without Randy Moss I really started to pull for him. As for Joey, I always rooted for him to succeed in Detroit. I hope Daunte gets back in the swing of things and takes us to a Super Bowl. I also hope that Joey can show that he can be a starter in this league and become kind of like a Matt Shaub kind of QB.
