I figured since there's quite a few of us fans on here with ties to schools in the best conference in the nation, we'd have a thread as we inch closer to the most exciting time in college basketball. With the BET on the horizon this league is absolutely loaded.

HUGE game in Morgantown tomorrow between WV and UConn, which team will drop two in a row? Should be a good one. Marquette handled G'Town quite easily last night in Milwaukee to further confuse things..

Anyway, Go Hall!

Uconn needs to bounce back big against WV. We had Villanova in the bag and then let them back in with lack-luster play and lights out shooting by Ray and Foye and company. When we are running and playing defense we our the best team in the country, but haven't been able to find that stride for even half of halfs really. Calhoun needs to start bringing the talent togather this weekend with a win at WV. After this big road game we have 3 of our last 4 at home, with only Villanova looming large on the 26th.. After the last game people are gonna be super-pumped up for the rematch. Bigtime top-rated schools playing in tourney type games in the regular season.

I'm guessing you are talking about Villanova? You guys had us in the bag, but you definitely didn't let us back into it. Did you get my PM about the game Monster?

Anyway, I find the people claiming that UConn lost a 1 seed because of the loss to Villanova funny. Not only are they still a 1 seed, but they are the number 2 overall 1 seed behind Duke. Hell, I think they could lose tomorrow in Morgantown and still be a 1.

I'm interested to see who's going to get to Madison Square Garden for the BET. The bottom of this conference is an absolute dog fight.

I got the message I was just hoping you had recovered from the beat down we gave you guys.. We shoot the ball outstanding that game, but still could have played better.

I don't think losing on the road to #4 ranked team should drop you that much, Nova is barnone one of the 5 best teams in the country. For more than a ranking Uconn needs to win for confidence.

The Big East has been an outstanding conference to follow this year. Lots of bigtime teams, and the teams at the bottom are no cupcakes. I can't wait for the tourney..

No doubt 'Nova is one of the top 5 teams in the country. And they could even be scarier down the road if Curtis Sumpter ever gets healthy. Right now, it's looking like UConn, Nova, WVU and Pitt have the first round byes in the BET locked up.

The battle for seeding in the first round is where it's going to get interesting. G'Town, Hall, Marquette and Cincy (has an outside shot) at locking up the 5 seed. As a Hall fan, I just want to stay the hell away from UConn in the second round. We've played Nova tough in the Pavilion this year and we already beat WV. We got a big finale looming at the Pete to end the regular season schedule, and I think we can stay competitive with them.

The Hall has Notre Dame tomorrow, this game just scares the hell out of me. It's going to be an absolute battle, but it's a game that a Tournament team has to win, especially at home.

I don't even think SU is going to make the tournament at this point. :fire:

I saw Pittsnogle now has a little Pittsnogle running around...they showed him in a little WVU outfit. :D Can't wait for the tourney. I think Gonzaga wins it all this year.
