This...we are in this mess b/c we had top 5 picks two years in a row and took a rb and a tackle. When you have a top 5 pick and don't have a qb, you take a qb. Bitch all you want about not getting a top qb this year but the seeds for this were planted several years ago. If we win 5 or more games next year, we will have to rely on a qb rich draft if we are to get a franchise qb in the draft.
Griffin cost far too much. By the time they are able to put some players around him, he will probably be damaged goods like Carr in Houston. Teams that have sold the farm to get a single player have historically done poorly. See R Williams in NO and H Walker in Minn.
I'd trade down and take the old guy from Ok State late in the first or early second. Tannehill is way too much of a reach at 8. He won't be ready to contribute for a couple of years.
