IMO was the 0 sacks. I don't care about the quarterback rankings, or how many rushing yards, that was the biggest stat. Congrats O-Line :bravo: . Please use the following space to let me know what you think of the 0 sacks....

I think that is a big stat, especially with Simeon Rice going on about getting sacks this year. Tampa's D isn't what it used to be, but is still pretty good. So, the OL (including the TEs) did a real good job in that regard.

I was overall very impressed by the o line...imho they played much better than anything I saw last year. So i'm definately happy

That was a huge stat. The line looked a lot better. Let's hope we can progress from here. I was originally a little scared of the new lineup, but it seems like it could work out.

Very impressive. Very big step forward.
I just hope it continues.

I didn't get to see the game, did Tampa blitz much. I am just curious because blitz pick up is what we struggle with most.

  • Jason Taylor, notching two sacks, forcing a fumble, and deflecting a pass while in coverage in 2 QTRS of play.....

did you read the post?

That is a great stat. You can see that the game planning they did got the defense tentative from the first play of the game. They didn't have enough players to cover all the weapons let alone put pressure on the QB. I could've made plays. I can guarantee I wouldn't of overthrown the WR (not a knock to Gus, I just can't throw that far :D ).

I loved the first play that R&R were in together. The defense just couldn't cover everybody. I hope to see alot of that this year.

That is a big stat. There were a few times though that bad balls were thrown due to the pressure the QB's recieved. I believe the INT Frerotte threw was when he was forced out of the pocket.

Yeah he was on the run. I think as soon as Frerotte, or Feeley, become comfortable and trusting in the o-line, timining with the wr's will fall into place.

0 sacks is great, but I was even more impressed with the push they got on running plays. There were holes for our RB's all night, I believe even Ricky acknowledged them.

If we can't run the ball, this year is gonna look a lot like last year. The line, in all facets, looked great the other night. Here's hoping it continues.....

Its a miracle

That stood out 2 me as well no sacks and we got some big running plays. I dont know what Saban and Houck said to those guys but they got their ***** in gear.

I definetly saw improvement. Could it be because Saban called them out a bit the week before? That was a common complaint before, people weren't being called for mistakes. Saban does it without demeaning them, at least to the media.

Huge difference. Gameplanning is not just for QB's ya know.
