This wasn't a free-agent move, per se, given that Kenny Stills came to Miami by way of trade. But it was quite a good move for the Dolphins, nonetheless.
As soon as Stills was acquired, Mike Wallace was expendable. That's why Miami banished him and his $9.9 million 2015 salary to the frozen north in Minnesota.
In Stills, the Dolphins have gotten a far younger and cheaper version of their rancorous $60 million man. Possessing a similar skill set, the 22-year-old should be able to replicate much of what Wallace brought to the table for about $9.4 million less.
And all Miami had to do was give up Dannell Ellerbe—a guy it was going to cut anyway—and a third-round pick to get Stills.

 Amen.

This move also pushes Minn out of the 1st rd WR talk, since they now have Wallace. They could wait for later rounds to address WR and pushes Parker closer to us. ;)

Wallace got sent to the wall to be a night's watch! Have fun up there buddy!

Now get a big, fast and tall WR and the set is complete.

^ agree.

Plus .... Get a corner mlb or guard in the second .

Rb in the fourth or 5th

what you just said doesn't mean anything if he turn out be bust

That's the spirit !
Just complain before we select.
Give the team's staff the benefit of doubt for now. There will be plenty of time to belly ache if we the blow the pick (which I doubt)

Your god damn right we are the Night's Watch up hear. Not a tougher group of SOB's will you ever find compared to the farmers and iron rangers that inhabit this baren wasteland. Now please excuse me I need to go take a naked romp with my wife in our underground/cave Jacuzzi.

While I love the Suh signing, this was the masterstroke by Tannenbaum this offseason IMO

Trading Wallace to minny was very satisfying.

Guy truly believed he was untouchable. Really bothered me people here wanted to keep him despite the fact he quit on the team.

I didn't really care where we traded Wallace. I'm just glad we replaced his skill set before we shipped his bloated contract/attitude out.
