The Brandon Weeden experiment coming to a close

I remember somebody saying Tannehill and Weeden were at the same level recently. That's what happens when you focus on stats.

The Brown's have screwed this thing up for maybe a decade... Anderson, Wallace, Garcia, Delhomme, Quinn, McCoy, Weeden, etc... - they are clueless

The Akron Beacon-Journal reports Brandon Weeden (right throwing thumb) will likely be sidelined for Sunday's Week 3 game against the Vikings.
Beat writer Nate Ulrich says it "wouldn't be surprising" if coach Rob Chudzinski ruled Weeden out in the next couple of days. The Browns want to see how Weeden "responds to treatment" before doing so. Weeden underwent an MRI on Monday, while X-rays came back negative after he injured the thumb in the fourth quarter of yesterday's loss to the Ravens. One of Jason Campbell or Brian Hoyer is expected to start the game in Minnesota. Our money is on Campbell.

Let's face it...the Browns have had crap at QB since Otto Graham retired. They did have Bernie Kosar and Brian Sipe, who were not horrible, but it's been really bad in Cleveland.

If I were the Browns, I would try to bring in Johnny Football Manziel or maybe a guy like Marcus Mariota, depending on whether they came out.

To make it even worse, the browns got the pick for weeden from Atlanta by giving up the #6 pick the year before. Atlanta used that pick to select Julio jones. Doh!

I remember someone saying miami should draft him and run a spread. I think he would have been a good fit in buffalo with chan gailey tho.

Well we all knew that Lombardi hated the Weeden pick (blasted in when he was on NFLN), and according to people who covered the team, Chud and Turner weren't exactly impressed with Weeden during the offseason.

As I said in the T-Rich thread, this draft potentially could be loaded at QB... Teddy Bridgewater, Tajh Boyd, Marcus Marriotta, Johnny Football, Brett Hundley, Derrick Carr, Aaron Murray ect. now Teddy, Marriotta, Manziel, and Hundley can all go back to school but it is still worth the risk
