How hot was it in the shade with no air circulation in the stadium?

The one big thing about all 3 of those missed FG's by Parker was that the flags on the uprights were as dead as they could ever be on each kick. The only wind, it looked like, in The Rock yesterday was coming from fans as they exhaled a sigh of relief on each missed kick.

That said, did it get really hot in there for a 1pm start even with the shade? For those in the sun, did it make it even worse?

Other than that, what were your takeaways from the new feel, new look, new food options and the new procedures?

Anyone go meet Ray Allen at his food stand?

It was freaking hot for sure. I was on visitors side 28 rows up and the sun was on us most of the game. Wasn't too much air circulation , caught a breeze here and there but it didn't seem very windy yesterday. When you walked through corridors to get to dining/ bathroom areas there was strong wind pull through there.

Stadium looks great inside and out as just about everyone has said. I didn't notice that big of difference w/ crowd noise as I've heard it louder there without roof but it was the Browns, so.... We didn't seem to disrupt Cleveland's offense. Getting into the stadium was easy, much appreciated as it has been a nightmare for a long time. Didn't notice too many differences in the dining areas from last year. I didn't purchase anything but beer ($10 ouch) but the lines seemed shorter overall. TV's are everywhere too, so if you are out there you won't miss any action. Seems like they added more. Speaking of TV's those jumbo trons are absolutely amazing.

Looking at the VIP section on the home side was disappointing. I think that was a big mistake to add that. It never seemed more than half full. That's supposed to be the heart of the crowd and it is a lonely heart. Less seats in that section than previously, means less people, less crowd noise. It should be entertaining to see who is sitting there for the Super Bowl though. If you are into that kind of thing.

Enjoyed tailgating with phins4ever and his family, Albert and his wife, Henrik and his crew and Nando and his wife. My son and nephew were dancing in the streets with Henrik after the game, what a blast  I'll post some pictures later here or the stickied tailgate thread.

Hot as balls in the sun. My season tickets are visitor sidelines row 2 and that was brutal sun/heat. In fairness, these 1 oclock games in the first quarter of the season have always been brutal.

I came from Los Angeles to see the Dolphins Play.

Sat in the Visitors section 316 6th row. It was really hot but we did get some breeze and cool air which was very enjoyable. I went to the Dolphins Chargers game 2 years ago and the Sun was crazy hot. But what a difference!

Food was expensive..lol but that isnt surprising. Yeah Beer $10 bucks..double OUCH!

All in all I thought it was loud but then again I havent been to many football games outside of the San Diego Charger Stadium and Miami Past Stadiums.

I AGREE with Daytona FIN, That VIP section is horrible, empty seats, and it took up most of the seating section. Whoever agreed to have that there should be fired.

Traffic was ok, I had to leave at end of regulation, :( My plane was leaving at 6:40PM. Left the Walmart parking stadium and 4:13PM and barley made my plane with 10 mins to spare!!! That was drama for me.

Those upright streamers are not going to move anymore without a very substantial wind. That's the reason I emphasized the streamers in lengthy posts here after attending each of the Canes' two home games. I'm fairly good at identifying reference points, even if they aren't obvious. Circling the upper deck I once had to hold my visor from being blown off yet when I dashed into the closest section to take a specific look, the streamers weren't detecting anything.

This was inevitable. I emphasized two years ago that the patchwork plans couldn't account for everything. I do appreciate that on this site the denial is low to non-existent, in contrast to one SAM-inhabited Canes site where they tried to make a big joke out of the streamer issue and lack of circulation in the lower bowl.

It was kind of amusing yesterday when the color commentator said it definitely felt cooler. Yeah, that's a representative world in those press boxes. I spent some time in my younger years. The focus is what type of food they are serving, and how much is available. Press members will actually complain, even though it's all for free.

The energy and noise level will be noticeably jacked up once the opponent is feared and the game anticipated. Yesterday was pretend mode.

Hey, I remember attending a 38-0 home loss to Cleveland during Shula's first season. The crowd was silent. The city was stunned.

Sunday's result was fine.

Sucks to hear you had to leave.

It was empty a lot. I just don't like the fact there is a smaller seating capacity there with those large spaces due to bigger seats and more elbow room. Here are some pictures of VIP section at various points in game

That is pretty sad, especially considering all those seats are sold out. That said, the team doesn't care because those seats are bought and paid for. However, it doesn't help the on field product at all to look out there and see the prime real estate in the stands empty.

Where is the Walmart parking?

On the home side it was definitely different. Still warm but nothing like the past. Plus the openings between canopy and stadium let a little breeze in once in a while. But it must have been much stickier in the lower sections.

We didn't feel the crow noise advantage. I think the fans were more in shock than anything else. I looked across our middle section once in a while (homeside 345-347) and hardly anybody stood up and cheered when on defense. TBH I didn't feel like it either. The performance was completely uninspiring and sleep inducing. Proof that we were more relieved than anything: usually after wins when you leave the stadium there is a lot of hollering and cheering going on - especially in the concourses and the circular walk-down paths because it echos so nicely. This time? It was quiet, the mood was more somber. It almost felt like we were leaving the stadium after a loss.

:rolleyes2:
